JD , HAPPY , do you think the smart cookies hammering the exchange 100 per second using the GPS data as a guide are not smart enough to know when a horse that hits 1000/1 yet is in the lead , doesn't have a jockey on   board ?

really ?

I don't think gps users are the problem tbh pablo, would go odds on 90% of tracks have people using the fast pics, tucked away and out of site
No way they pics are just sitting there unused ...even if it isnt your normal track players who pay for the boxes, someone has their fingers in the jar
Drone users probably more of a hinderance than gps players, not having gps as an issue but might be wrong

cheers system, would you reckon theres afew sneaks at the tracks using the good pics?

System, So if theres no feeds out there and facetime is slim picking - does that point to a group/someone got an arrangement with the feed suppliers (racetech/sis or whoever it is)

i'm sure there will be 1 or two, human nature but not enough to effect in running to much degree, as anyone who plays knows no single person can see everything going on  during a race.

wicklow - i dont think a group of any sort have fast stuff - pretty much everyday in here someone will get a click or 2 out of a faller using bf vid
By:
jamesdean
When: 08 Oct 20 12:54
fair to say they could be hammering in late tho on most likely winner where it WILL make a difference though?

Or as wicklow suggests, could be a leak to a select few hammering in late again which will make a difference

smooth here 1.50 race fos las
By:

When: 08 Oct 20 12:59
just to add, it wouldnt take much for a couple using the fast pics hammering the likely winner late just now
with liquidity as dire as it is due to the pictures being so sh1te and not many playing of sky lv

maybe in normal times when lv was fast on flash 1 or 2 fast pic boys wdnt make much difference, different times just now though

nowt surprises me regarding in running and the lowlife's and vagabonds who use any sort of means they can get their grubby hands on to have an edge pablo...

but with all these GPS folk hammering the exchange 100 per second...

liquidity and matched amounts must be through the roof...???
By:
HappyHibby
When: 08 Oct 20 13:02
some folk have access to fast pics / raw feed james...

absolutely no doubt in my mind about that...

it is blatantly obvious from the in running prices that is the case...

Betfair knows who these folk are...

anyone who plays at kempton regularly must know how difficult it is even when a race looks wide open inside the final furlong...
By:

When: 08 Oct 20 13:03
cheers system - your right about the fallers - have managed to lay a few in place markets off the video myself recently - so you might be right about the number that have it and how regular that is.

Greenteeth - I cant have it that the Bflv which is 3.5 ish on quickest setting is only 1.5 secs behind live. Add another 1.5 surely???

bang goes the GPS in running theory...

Minella Theory first past the post (without jockey)...

so why did it not get belted down from 1000 to 1.01...????

nonsense.

i'm replying to this happy .

the bots using GPS would more than likely be pre programmed to know that when a horse goes from 20s to 1000 within 1 second and stays at 1000 for the duration of the race , that its jockey has fallen off, therefore there bot will not be betting on it at 1000 down to 1.01 when it crosses the line first

does that make sense ?
By:

When: 08 Oct 20 13:10
What if it was obvious there had been barging by the first past the post on the runner up pablo

would the gps bot know to keep its powder dry for the upcoming stewards or would it continue to hammer the 1st past post into no offers?
By:

When: 08 Oct 20 13:11
The overall truth is nobody will last long backing 1.01s without faster pics than anyone else, they'd go skinto.

i don't know enough about it tbh pablo...

but with all this GPS stuff going on...

and folk hammering the exchange at 100 per second...

liquidity / matched amounts must never have been so huge...????

i doubt they are backing at 1.01 , or are big punters at the minute happy

would the gps bot know to keep its powder dry for the upcoming stewards or would it continue to hammer the 1st past post into no offers?

JD, i would doubt a bot using gps would have any advantage betting in a stewards or a photo finish .

i'm not taking the p!ss but imo this is how it works .

lets say a 2 horse race ,when there is 200 yards to go ,  the leader is 20 yards clear , the other horse is closing , the bots can constantly calculate whether he is closing at a fast enough rate to get up on the line or whether at the speeds both horses are going he won't .

pre GPS and even now, we have to judge by using our eyes and judgement , they are using mathematics .

now they could be doing this to every horse within a race.

where they fail is this , in this 2 horse race if they are neck and neck 1 furlong out , they can't tell who is cruising and who is being scrubbed along

i also doubt alot of people are using GPS at the minute, but the shrewdies will incorporate it at some point

ffos las awful yet again...

they must have forgotten to do what they did yesterday at sedgefield...

strange.
By:

When: 08 Oct 20 13:31
wasnt meaning they bet in stewards or photos, was saying if we could see there had been barging in home straight, the gps bot cdnt detect/see that
and will just continue to hammer into the leader into 1.01, it might get the 1st past the post winner but the bot user will do his money in a stewards
eventually.....you then get the monkeys that go clear and pull themselves up in front, do they see the horse has its head in the air when in front etc etc

there would be absolute carnage for gps users with all the different variables that a horse race can provide

dont doubt some will use them but doubt they will have a big impact, as a few have said above, you' will never beat a pair of eyes seeing the outcome first
