markets are suspended manually so you can't really come to any conclusions based on that

just have a look at what happens with US racing for example
By:

It is because they are suspended manually that you can come to conclusions wes
By:
Wesdag
When: 02 Oct 20 15:27
so what determines when they suspend james?
By:
jamesdean
When: 02 Oct 20 15:28
You would like to think when they see the stalls opening and when the winner hits the winning line
By:
jamesdean
When: 02 Oct 20 15:30
However if they were at it, then obviously they wouldnt suspend until they hit the line on the slower pics
but why they are suspending/opening the ir market before the stalls open has to be open to question
By:
Wesdag

eager or dozy monkey is my answer

if you play US racing, often they put a race in play until mid race

at the end, often not suspended until they've almost weighed in

They cant suspend manually pre-empting the stalls opening, they can only suspend once theyve seen it happen
Otherwise we'd see markets sometimes where its gone in play and a horse has reared up and the opening has been held
By:
Wesdag
When: 02 Oct 20 15:34
sometimes they do pre-empt & then unsuspend again before stalls open
By:
dustybin
When: 02 Oct 20 15:37
I cant recall ever seeing that wes

font and this good here
By:
dustybin
When: 02 Oct 20 15:41
No
You mean they put the market IR and the gates never open then they but the market back the Pr-off?
I cant say as I have....besides by law of averages if you are correct it would happen at some point everyday during the flat season

By:

When: 02 Oct 20 15:48
Maybe Ill have to watch more closely the suspend, but Im still incredulous it wouldnt be happening all the time if it were the case, you often see horses rolling in the stalls just as they are about to go and held longer
By:
pablo-fanque
When: 02 Oct 20 15:48
that happens about 1 in 1000 races imo
By:
system99
When: 02 Oct 20 15:49
obv the other way happens regular, when the numpty forgets to press it to go in play
By:
system99
When: 02 Oct 20 15:50
but confirms its done manually i suppose
By:
jamesdean
When: 02 Oct 20 15:51

By:

By:

When: 02 Oct 20 15:53
dustybin...

if you have the BSP showing on your screen it makes it more obvious coz all the BSP's go to ZERO coz they have put it in play and then suspend as they have pressed the start of race suspend button too early...

doesn't happen very often...

but Wesdag is correct when he says it does happen..
By:
HappyHibby
When: 02 Oct 20 15:54
why do you think it's been fine last hour or so james...?

coz i ain't got a clue...
By:
jamesdean
When: 02 Oct 20 15:55
same as you on this one hibby, not a clue

A wild one...but maybe theyve done something?  or is that too outrageous?
