Well, we do know that the pics are receivable faster than we're seeing them. It's been done, after all.
So, at some point in the chain they're being delayed. But until that particular point they must be viewable at the faster speed. And if they're viewable, and there's money to be made as a consequence, it would be a first-time-ever if there weren't somebody actually viewing them. |

Correct screaming. One can only hope these teething issues with the speeds are sorted out asap

Matt Williams is still sat in the waiting room on that one, although with social distancing now in operation, he might now be sat in the car park. |

|
|
By:
You wonder who has the access to the fast pics there with none of the track players supposedly allowed into the track
Filling their boots before the new latency pics are corrected |

It's probs all that extra info it's laden with
The trial was faster and didnt have all that |

Anyone know if RTV online is the same speed as BFLV?
|
|
By:
so much for 0.6, thanks for trying though. It's technologically very possible but somehow never happens, hmmmm obvious really
|
|
By:
@Wesdag RTV online is far behind bflv, checked today
|
|
By:
the bast@rds had it to .6 behind live during the trial. There's no excuses for the speeds today
|
|
By:
RTV are aware of the speed we need and are working to get it back to that of the trial.
I agree with others who posted that Newcastle, despite being a slower stream, played much fairer than Kempton. It seems some people do have access to a faster stream there! |
|
By:
All they've done is prettied it up with non-essential add-ons. They know fine well people would forgo all that shyte as long as visual was fast(est possible), clear and smooth. The sad but simple fact is those who greatly benefit from the sticky, stuttering, delayed mess of these tin pot, pixelated, small screen streams of waste.. will do anything to avoid giving up their sinister "edge". I honestly don't expect this to ever change.

By:
i wonder how many would want it if it speeded up to the trial speeds and was £10 a race
![]() |
|
By:
1) The stream quality was very good. Hazardous to play IR when it's stuttering randomly
2) The graphics are ok. No harm done there as they disappear during the race. Some folk will like them 3) I'm always amazed they LV is as quick as it is (and has been). I'd expect it's quite a challenge to squeeze more out of the delay, whilst also scaling the solution to the wider audience 4) As Bootman say's, quite possible that they may improve on things in the coming days, but 0.6s is a tall order as it ain't video conferencing |

Big Cat
They didnt test it in some inner loop, they tested it in the wild and it was fast |
|
By:
Theyve had it .6 before with no issues. Technology has get better since then, not worse. There's no reason for the delay tech wise.
|
|
By:
Who knows then... no doubt the technology is advancing... still think .6 is going some for the prod version
We'd all like to see the grotty facetimers furloughed in their gutter for good. Such folk ought to get a job instead of stooping that low |

its 2020 big cat..dog eat dog etc.

If you want to look on the bright side and away from the conspiracy theories you'd point to the fact that there is no way they would have allowed us all to see how possible the faster pics were as they did in the trial if they ultimately were going to allow those in the shadows to win the day.
They have given us all a very big hammer to keep bashing away at them with, the problem is they may have very dense heads to withstand the blows. ![]() |

duffy, they don't give a **** what they reveal. What can anyone do about it anyway? there's 3 possibles imo. 1) They did it on purpose, to show "Here's what you could have" with no intention of ever making it the norm, whacking off to being Indian givers in the process. 2) They did it to test how it played and were less than satisfied with those results compared to cheat mode. 3) The issues are indeed "teething problems" and they'll all be resolved to the point where everything is stable and running lovely and smooth. No doubt everyone hopes it's #3..but that's an unlikely longshot imo. I'd make it 11/2 - 1/5 - 33/1

On reflection I think the problem that we, as I/R players see is not a problem that "they" see, as someone intimated earlier, they haven't re-vamped the LV for "our" benefit, if that was the case there would have been a voice around the table instructing them to throw all the extras they've applied to the LV straight into the bin as pretty much all of us couldn't care less about that.
However all that type of thing might attract the viewer that doesn't subscribe to a premium channel but might want a bet but isn't necessarily bothered about I/R. The clues were there on Barry Orr's recent appearance on the Final Furlong podcast, when they discussed I/R he had the perfect opportunity to promote this relaunch but all he could say was to highlight that their pictures are delayed and didn't make any other mention about it. |
