I think it's inevitable horse racing (in public) will be banned - it's just a matter of time - other sports have; the odds for Aintree being staged is 1.25 as opposed to 4.6 against.

With the advances in science we now have a huge population of people who require a large, constant medical and nursing input compared to previous years and generations. This group of society appear to be at the greatest risk from CV.

It is extremely difficult, if not impossible, to effectively deal with a pandemic and to continue to look after this group of people at the same time.

As I said previously the govt are damned whatever they do. People will always think they know better-probably with the benefit of hindsight.

People like Jeremy Hunt and other politicians obviously have their own agendas

It is not all gloom and doom but it is common sense to minimise exposure considering what had happened elsewhere. I think the gov is waiting as Easter is nearby and it will be easier to have a shutdown around then than now.

It is ok for the youngsters who suffer mainly mild symptoms but for older people and those with respiratory problems it could be a death sentence.

FFS - 1st time poster ... 'Take a pull'

I  repeat ...

There will be/ARE far, far MORE people rammed into EVERY SUPERMARKET in the UK - at this moment - all in close proximity to each other - than out in the fresh air at such as Horse Racing meetings.

That sort of scenario will be the biggest line of transmission.

The tube is the biggest risk isn't it? Glad not to live in London but have had several experiences there in stations of being in a crowd so packed that it is almost impossible to change either speed or direction of walking.

BE CAREFUL YOU ARE NOT AMONG THEM ...

On that note I shall leave the Doom Mongers to crack on with it ........

MY ADVICE IS FURIOUS WASHING OF  HANDS AND YOUR GONADS  hourly ...

Sitting around in Shyte stained underpants looking at a screen for days on end  is no good to anyone .....

no rights or wrongs mate most of population are getting this

my advice is even tho you think its no worse than flu etc you can pass it easily to someone who could die from it so be aware and responsible

and if you can , give your number to someone you think may be scared or vulnerable , a lot of folk are going to need help or the comfort of knowing someone is there for them

I watched the old Ealing 1947 film Hue And Cry the other day, now considered an important historical document as

it was shot almost entirely on location, it is now a notable historic document due to its vivid portrait of a London still showing the damage of the Second World War

not my words, chavvers, the quote in italics was taken from the film's wiki page

I think stewy might have gone into isolation, along with 50 slabs of stella and 200 family sized packets of andrex

chavvers, I sure if the virus mutates and we're all wiped out on the outside, stewy will opt for the pistol, rather than the cyanide capsule
