horses stutter all the time into hurdles/fences, they then popover it, jockey then lets the horse decide and sit tight.
Jamie was all over the place, even when landing he was halfway out the side door, if better balanced he would even survived on touchdown. |
|
By:
Dunno why people are going on about the jockey -the horse made the mistake . Could happen at the first as well as the last.
One would think we'd never seen this before. It's the nature and beauty of sport - a microcosm of life. |

Don't worry Goshen backers, you can get it all back in next years CH.

idiot comment completely |

Exactly! Why be pushing and asking it up when it is a dozen lengths clear? Not a backer so no pocket-talk but that was awful! Why not take a tug between 2 and the last, no need
|
|
By:
Never looked round once after 2nd last,10 lengths in front could have eased down a bit and popped it,but no, still went flat out even though well clear.

Looked like he set the Horse perfectly , The horse didnt jump

The horse got his hind hoof caught in the front one for a second or two I think that is why Jamie couldn’t save himself. If it weren’t for that I think Jamie would have stayed aboard.

Some excellent horsemen on this forum are being a bit harsh. (horse seemed to try and take a tiny extra stride before the flight and just an unlucky landing) Spot on. |

Looked like he set the Horse perfectly , The horse didnt jump exactly..the pocket talkers watched a different race. |
|
By:
horses do not meet every hurdle/jump on a perfect stride.
Jamie was way to much body movement, then didnt feel the horse with a slight stutter and re adjust himself, even in the air should have clung on and try get safely over, he didnt. The horse landed on all 4 hours in a reasonable shape, slight slip was cause his jockey weight was all on one side. But freeze frame how the horse has landed, it doesnt warrant an Unseated rider. I backed Solo, so no pocket talking. |
|
By:
You can all blame me. I was on Champ and I was absolutely v=certain Champ had no chance after jumping the last.
Jamie Moore did not realise he was that far infront. Never mind, next time. The jockey is fine, and the horse is sound - that's the main thing. |
|
By:
seemed to me he couldn't pop it because he stuttered then put in another short stride, strange one looks different from every angle, overhead looks like he goes for a worldie

that awful sickening feeling if you Goshen,it brings back memories of the day that Annie fell,my heart goes out to all who backed it.

Cry so far clear and still pushing him into it, soft unseat in the end. Spot on. Just one of those things. |
|
By:
There did seem like an element of accident waiting to happen as it approached the final flight, he didn't seem aware of the ease of his position.

That far in front, pecker, you let the horse do the jumping
There's no need to bouncing around the saddle like a rubber ball |
