I really feel for them.
Heartbreaking. Hope he doesn't get too much criticism |
By:
I had an inkling he'd fall. Absolutely not necessary to try and get a big jump at the last so far infront.

so far clear and still pushing him into it, soft unseat in the end. |
By:
A lot of movement coming to the last. Sit tight son.

By:
bad luck that for the family after Traffic Fluid at Ascot

I do feel for him , would've been a great winner .
The side on tells the story . Why didn't he just try and pop it |
By:
Just plain stupid to blame Jamie.
By:
Gutted for young Jamie.
By:
You let the horse hop it that far clear
Do not have any sympathy for the prat, even teenage show jumpers know this s*** |
By:
Tallywagger - The side on shows so much movement on the horse going into the last .
By:
Alice rushing up to Jamie with her mike.
Trust he told her to **** off ! |
By:
Jockey at fault there, horse dididnt actually jump it that bad, ok not perfect but got over ok.
Jamie predicted wrongly the stride pattern and jump of the horse, got himself totally unbalanced on top then exit side door. |
By:
Too much movement from the jockey. Just sit quiet and let the horse jump
By:
still a good day for connections. horse well and worth more money after race than before it.
By:
He wasn't trying to get a big jump at the last, why don't they keep Alice Plunkett in a cage during the racing?
By:
I’m gutted for Jamie. How awful. The horse caught his hind hoof on a front shoe or possibly the bandage If it weren’t for that I think Jamie would have saved himself.
At least Jamie and the horse are ok. Worse thing happen Jamie. |
By:
the idiots are out
horrid bad luck there |

I had an inkling he'd fall. Absolutely not necessary to try and get a big jump at the last so far infront. you are a proper and utter dc |
By:
rush of blood to the head going to the last, in a rush to get over it
By:
Poor guy. What a superstar horse. I laid it..... one of the first times I wouldn't really be wishing my lay to fall...... just no words..... I can't see how you can blame jockey
By:
What on earth was he thinking ?
The horse jumped it fine, it was him, effing yousless. |
By:
Probably wont be able to make amends at Aintree either

By:
maleuk, you have not seen the side angle. Horse stuttered into the fence and then slipped on landing. You dont know if the jock had asked him to just pop it. Just one of those things.
By:
jocks done everything right for me
By:
Not bad luck, he's so far clear he can sit tight and let the horse hop it ffs
Brainless and can't be defended |
By:
Illogical.
By:
Some excellent horsemen on this forum are being a bit harsh.
(horse seemed to try and take a tiny extra stride before the flight and just an unlucky landing) |
By:
LOL @ all the people saying 'unlucky son'.
I've got some stuff to sell you. |
By:
Never been a fan of the jockey at all but wouldn't wish that on him....
By:
The hurdles just like the fences have to be jumped
By:
proper idiots dont even know what there looking at
By:
pressing the horse like it was grundy and bustino
no bet in the race so no interest, but even before he fell I was thinking "relax fella, the horse is doing all he can" deserved what he got. a total c@nt. |
By:
Burnt half my profits on this. WAC of a jockey........not. How can you blame the jockey, it is one of those freak moments. If he popped the last and came down,
people would have said why did you do that. I backed him ante pots win, 5 places on the day, placepot and jackpot.........no problems with the ride. What a horse for the future though. |
By:
Unlike so many I'm not an expert, having only been watching NH racing since 1963,but I wouldn't blame the jockey there. Maybe another day he'd have stayed on but it would have been a great recovery.
By:
Much as I like Jamie and often back him blind, he had a shocker there, as has been mentioned he had plenty of time to get the stride right get his weight over the withers and pop the hurdle so I'm afreid it was his fault but sad all the same.
