I had an inkling he'd fall. Absolutely not necessary to try and get a big jump at the last so far infront.

Jockey at fault there, horse dididnt actually jump it that bad, ok not perfect but got over ok.

Jamie predicted wrongly the stride pattern and jump of the horse, got himself totally unbalanced on top then exit side door.

Too much movement from the jockey. Just sit quiet and let the horse jump

He wasn't trying to get a big jump at the last, why don't they keep Alice Plunkett in a cage during the  racing?

I’m gutted for Jamie. How awful. The horse caught his hind hoof on a front shoe or possibly the bandage If it weren’t for that I think Jamie would have saved himself.

At least Jamie and the horse are ok.

Worse thing happen Jamie.

Poor guy. What a superstar horse. I laid it..... one of the first times I wouldn't really be wishing my lay to fall...... just no words..... I can't see how you can blame jockey

maleuk, you have not seen the side angle.  Horse stuttered into the fence and then slipped on landing. You dont know if the jock had asked him to just pop it. Just one of those things.

Some excellent horsemen on this forum are being a bit harsh.

(horse seemed to try and take a tiny extra stride before the flight and just an unlucky landing)

Burnt half my profits on this. WAC of a jockey........not. How can you blame the jockey, it is one of those freak moments. If he popped the last and came down,
people would have said why did you do that.  I backed him ante pots win, 5 places on the day, placepot and jackpot.........no problems with the ride.
What a horse for the future though.

Unlike so many I'm not an expert, having only been watching NH racing since 1963,but I wouldn't blame the jockey there. Maybe another day he'd have stayed on but it would have been a great recovery.

When: 13 Mar 20 14:45
Much as I like Jamie and often back him blind, he had a shocker there, as has been mentioned he had plenty of time to get the stride right get his weight over the withers and pop the hurdle so I'm afreid it was his fault but sad all the same.
