Lay Naps Comp – February 2020
Distance 3 miles Going Heavy Flushgordon1: A worthy favourite, does take the odd chance at his fences so it’s hoping his young rider holds on tight. Movewiththetimes: Very good form earlier on but not quite the sparkle last couple outings, his shrewd trainer could be saving himself for today. Bustino: Can always be relied upon to give his all and loves this heavy ground so expect fireworks. Madhatter: Another with good early form which has dipped a little with the softer ground. Flatcap: Can always be relied on for a safe as ride as possible in these conditions and does have experience on his side. Posy: A model of consistency and you can put the house oh him being right up there in the home straight. Stewarts rise: Coming right back into the form we saw earlier in the season and he won’t fail for lack of effort. FOYLESWAR: Bound to go off at a scorching pace, will the stamina hold out over the distance is the question. Happysandwich: This 3 miles is his distance and the ground presents no problem but will the odd fence? Dukeofpuke: Has caught the eye of the stewards on more than one occasion but his rider is full of enthusiasm and a quick learner. A fascinating final in store and while flushgordon1 is a most worth favourite plenty will be trying to topple him. With the ground being heavy it could see steady run being the order of the day and Bustino falls into that category along with plenty of others. Of course all jockeys will have one eye of Cheltenham so heroics might be in short supply today. Betting: 4/6 flushgordon1, 2/1 Bustiono, 5/2 Movewiththetimes, 9/2 Flatcap, Madhatter, 8/1 posy, 12/1 bar Airman sent me the above to put up, he did it last night. Gl everyone on the last day of the month. |

6.30 Southwell - Harbour Front place lay
2.45 Kelso - Calva Dauge place lay -reserve Think i got bogged down today my. reserve did ok but sel sluiced in the old adage Alchohol and gambling dont mix although had a few quid on Brinkley thought his 3rd to blue sari being solid form. My selection hf dont see the step up in distance suiting and the way he wandered over 1m 4f the fitting of head gear would seem sensible.......Good luck to winner and well done to all participants as was difficult month with all Cancellations and uncertainty caused by weather........A massive shout to stridingedge for ur hard work. Roll on March and hopefully minimise the mistakes gd luck all |
