By:
because their thick as foook pig farmers
cant count 7 whip strikes cant count number of laps cant see winning post cant see right winning post, yellow flag stop is far to complicated Laugh Brilliant post. |

I've always said jockeys are ten-a-penny.
You could train a monkey to do what they do. |
By:
Previous void races have seen several yellow flags waved at different points all around the course.
One bloke standing in front of a fence pointing his flag to avoid the fence is appalling incompetence by the racecourse. |
By:
Top traners now sending their head lads to the zoo, to swap their stable jockey for a monkey.
By:
flag doesn't mean avoid the fence. means stop and all of them should know that.
By:
Would it not make more sense if the flag was red?
By:
if the flag had said stop here for free Charlie and drink, they,d have all foooking stopped
By:
My point is that flags should have been waved at all points from the back straight to the last fence.
By:
above is correct not enough to stop a race

10 day bans for 7 jocks, jocks on knackered horses pulling up anywhere dodged a bullet

Sandown should have an official warning.
A toxic year after the debacle in March and the previous one the summer before. Arrogance of a major track that rests on it's laurels |
By:
Racecourse at fault, why leave it so late to wave the flag? Have they only got one? I'm sure most jocks knew it meant stop but you only need 1 to keep going and doubt creeps in.

Well that's a bonus.
Laid Doing Fine for a £600+ loss, just come back in to find £600 extra in my account. |
By:
winner won it on merit ,only ones i saw pull up were beat anyway ,had 25 ew on winner on here at 17s ,concentrating on football bets ,wondered why account was less than should be ,marvellous ......i give up .
By:
That's brutal luck. Just thinking imagine if one of those horses who should have been pulled up as per yellow flag fell and got killed at the last.
By:
The winner's connections won't be very happy, the 11yo will get re-handicapped on that run.
Just lost £31,000 and the winners handicap mark. |
By:
What was the official reason for stopping the race?
Without the flag it would have looked like any other race where they avoid an obstacle. |
By:
worried about a bunched field getting through gap where screens were up.ended up going through a smaller gap on a bend and then through the gap they tried to avoid,

By:
mandatory 10 days for ignoring yellow flag could have got more for taking wrong course as well
By:
who decides they might not get through the gap ,the guy with the flag has sole right to decide ??sort it out ,even the commentators had no inkling that it might be voided ,and why should it have been ,farcical ,feel for the connections of the winner aswell ,won it on merit.
By:
Who has decided than an insipid yellow should be the choice of stopping a race?
At the least have the person with two flags waving them across each other. As it was the race appeared to finish without an issue. The design of Sandown going to the Pond fence leaves so little option for finishing the race. This modern decision to stop and void races more and more leads to only being a matter of time before a prestigious race goes this way. |
By:
in fairness i had 6 bets today and the only return i got was the void race !
By:
For all my complaining , I had a bet with 3 big priced runners in 5 races in e/w doubles.
Two winners ,Hogan's Height 28/1 and.......Doing Fine 28/1 .....other 2 runners unplaced treated as void. |
