3winners - when did u last have Racing TV?
Had it up to yesterday, on previous BF deal. Got the call the day before my sub was due to expire.. I'll be on to them tomorrow ![]() |
By:
They might play hardball and say you can only have the Black Friday deal if you cancelled a month ago, they do that sometimes.
I’m happy to pay 25 a month if they provide a fast LV like the trials But they have been fobbing us all off for so long that I’m not paying 25 a month just to keep those tits sat in the studio and a still relatively slow LV I’ll just cancel |

black friday offer today only, £10 for 12 months, for new and reinstating customers ONLY.
rang them on 08451116655 and managed to get 6 months for £15 a month. |
By:
Got £10 off for 6 months as an existing customer..25 minute phone wait though
By:
15 not too bad... but I wish they would make just make it £9.99/month
That is what they call the "sweet spot". They would get more ppl signing up |
By:
45 minute wait to get through.
So to save people time who may be in the same boat as me... The Black Friday offer ONLY exists for brand new customers or 'out of contract' returning customers(you have to initiated the 30 day cancellation previously). The offer anyway does not include Sky Q customers or those using a minibox or miniboxes. The best deal for current Sky Q customers is a £10 discount off the full price. It is and has always been an £10 extra charge for miniboxes. So the best deal for Sky Q with miniboxes is a non-contract £24.98 a month. |

how difficult is it to cancel after the year is up,is it simple or a pain like sky,i have tried to take up the offer online this morning but once i put my card details in it goes wrong, although i have put in not a sky customer so that might be it
By:
if i'm in contract paying the full 25 , is there any hope of a reduction here?
i panicked and signed myself up fast after first lockdown. ![]() |
By:
I had my card details in originally but got a letter saying they couldn't take payment..
So now I setup a DD paying tenner a month. Not sure if i'd renew certainly not at 25 |
By:
I got the tenner BF offer a few years ago. Now I just call them and say I'll cancel or pay 10 pcm. Of course this is better than nothing for them, so they give it to me for 4 months and then I need to call them again to agree the next four months. I'm on sky Q too.
By:
The four month thing is a shorter contract, but a minor inconvenience having to speak to another human being.
By:
Cider. So are you paying £20 a month for SKY Q and minis?
If so I've another phone call to make then. But not today! |
By:
No, I have a minibox but I don't bother getting rtv on there as well, I wouldn't use it.
By:
I told them they need to make their whole pricing much clearer with their offers re. SKY Q, minis etc, plus I think half the time it's luck of the draw with who you finally get to speak to.
By:
I suspect they all have the same tools for retention, it probably comes down to whether you're actually willing to cancel, which I make it very clear that I am.
By:
It's a point of principle really, if they can afford to employ nevo to spend 15 minutes on a saturday relaying bf price movements to viewers (badly), then they are not short of revenue. S a tenner is reasonable, a pony is not.
By:
What's all this Sky Q stuff about? I have Sky Q and am still on £10 a month at the moment and have never heard of any of this talk about having to pay extra because of Sky Q.
By:
sparrow, the £10 extra is for miniboxes. You are on a good deal for £10 a month , it's not currently available(apparently)
By:
Took 25 mins offered 6x15quid 6 at full price which declined
Then 6 x15 no contract which I declined 4x 10 quid no contract accepted I’m in contract at 12.50 expires early next year This continues from end of current contract |
By:
Thanks swifty, just rang and was given £15 a month for 6 months and then to call again in May.
By:
Not sure that the £10 Black Friday deal includes Club Days.
By:
I’ve cancelled
I’m not demeaning myself asking them for discounts like they are doing me a favour Don’t need it over the winter Let them come and offer me something in the spring like the desperados they are. |
By:
Not worth ten bob a month, cancelled ages ago and not miss a thing, you can watch every race live most places so no need for it.
By:
Racing UK staff must look forward to Black Friday and Cyber Monday like a hole in the head.

By:
Listening to the dross tonight from Persad & Co, could not justify paying 50p a month for it. Presenters and pundits are too annoying.

When are Racing TV going to sort a proper contract out with Virginmedia...absolute joke
