Shame was very funny back in the 70s/80s but like other great comedians got booted into touch by the PC brigade. Seemed very bitter later in life as no one would give him a break. RIP Freddie!
Saw him in Blackpool when teenager he was walking down the middle aisle of the audience bouncing his microphone off mine and others heads.

He was bitter ( and you can understand ) as he was hit with legal aid costs of between £750k and £960k - depending on what article you read - despite having his name cleared in a court of law regarding historical allegations ,, cleared in court and it costs him over three quarters of a million , bear this in mind when you think that a terrorist sympathiser is receiving Legal Aid help to try and get her GB citizenship back ..... TV didn't want to know him after the court case
