I am interested in winning, that is all, and do so very successfully without wasting any of my life selecting which horses to back.

Prove it then.

As much as I enjoy putting you in your place, it`s time for Sunday evening in the local tavern.

I am hardly going to comment on races that I haven't watched. I question how anyone who had watched those previous races wouldn't have known what a liability the jock might be?

It was a relatively competitive race but many hunter chases are absolutely dire. Full of horses past their best, but not good enough for veterans chases. All the young point-to-point talent is now sold. If you are left with a six-year-old then it almost certainly isn't a star.

Nicholls has a little 'team' of pensioners because he knows it is easy pickings.

I grew up following the likes of Collins, Shand-Kydd and Thorne who had their own strings of high class hunter chases. The quality has long disappeared.

I watched the race and then read the stewards report, where I was expecting to read that Arthur's Secret's saddle had slipped early on in the race.  Her 'riding' style is a pretty unedifying spectacle.

You've got it the wrong way round fraudy. For years now I have been genuinely amazed at the bets you strike and I have craved the the "affirmation" and indeed confirmation of these amazing bets you have "struck".It is such a pity that the only bet you ever attempted to post had several unfortunate mistakes in it. That was a jolly jape, wasn't it? and the thread mysteriously disappeared. It is also magical how you know which of the "sirs" to bet and indeed only to lay the ones that get beat,it also amazes me that you can get any amounts on at advised prices while the rest of us poor forumites are only left with the dregs. You must be some "man" fraudy.
I do hope you have a spiffing evening down The Blue Oyster Tavern.

cheers Koi, ref the bleed , poor horse , i once had a 5f sprinter that did that on occasions and i found it very distressing , I think koi dont do anything hasty ref posts , ive been for a few days considering making a few comments and thoughts  about the posters , their posts and what my thoughts were , incidently the bulk of them were very positive, but more of that perhaps in the morning

Even if this tip was shyt, which it was!

koi keep putting up mate ,as we all know they dont all win ,you put up an opinion and a lot of the time they are spot on , the forums are on thier ar$es and we need positive posters or they will be just full of crap , i put up on the odd occasion and expect and look forward to confrontation if they get beat and they do often get turned over . then again i like an argument . at least you have the balls to put up .keep em coming koi and kemo .

I'm not a jumps man these days but do enjoy reading koikeepers posts as I also did a previous poster of hunter chase threads. The idea should be to read his summary and make your own mind up.

never seen a post where koi ,,professes to be an expert ,,
never seeen a post where he,s put up a short priced tip either ,
seen lots of posts where hes put up an opinion.which is a mile away from a tip ,
indeed did you bother to read the whole post ,which ended in only imo,
probably not ,
if you dont like his posts or opinions dont read em ,not rocket science fi

i really despair about a few of the knockers and sad sacks who emerge every once in a while , i was actually thinking a few days ago how the forum i read a few years ago had cleaned up its act and actually a few people with a degree of knowledge had skill had emerged,,, Indeed seeing it had moved on from what it was i decided to give it some of my stuff  and give a degree of colour to the days events , This was only possible because i had a degree of free time to put up stuff ,
let me ist of all say i seldom get too much stick ,  ive hd a couple of comments about being put away if a horse i put up loses , and that the hunter stuff i put up is useless , if memory serves that was after the bet i had on hardrock davies traded at huge odds on and got brought down , Yet i tend to think its ill advised taking a view on one bet , so right after hardrock lost the next few bets were , if memory serves , dicky bob , traded 1.06 lost

Another venture lost ,
Djin of wittinghams won 3/1
Nimby Lost
verdanna blue W 5/1
Mohaather W 9/2
LAS tunas 3 13/8,
master baker 2nd Bled ;

they all cant win yet enough do to give me a decent profit ,

the issue i think i have is as an observer of people and especially gamblers is they dont view what they do as a job , as a way of increasing their cash in the bank ,,

so anyone punting one of kois ,,, and i dont always agree with what he puts up ,,, like yesterday , , lets say gets a winner ,,, then the next one wins ,,, so they think lovely jubbly ,, they go out and spend that cash won or put it on their own ill dvised fancied and do their cash ,,, so koi puts up another they think ohh the last two won , so they chase their lost cash ,,, if it loses they hurt ,,, ohh my goodness they so hurt ,,  so its kois fault or mine ,,, not their own stupidity ,  overall kois stuff wins ,,, as indeed if you check back does mine ,,, its prob better if me and koi dont post as we are showing people its possible to win , but to do that they need to be selective and im not sure people want to do that , Ive always thought as ive watched folks bet both in shops and on course they dont really want to win ,

im happy to see anyone put up their opinion pre race and make comments after wards ,,, but when they call the stuff me and koi and a few others what we put up as Tips , they are really not getting it ,

With all due respect kemo, koi would have put up Sausalito Sunrise today and told everybody he got 2/1 last night.  Whether it wins or not, one can't make money backing these skinny ones day after day, even if one steals a bet the preceding evening, these type of horses just aren't that reliable!

he may well have done , but would have probebly added IMO , i totally agree about backing shorties ,,, The stuff i put up is it invariably short? i think not ,    in the hunter i backed master baker , it finished 2ND , the winner showed much improved form and now goes to chelts its hoped , I dont have any comments on what he would have put up or not , The stuff overall  he posts is very accurate , and it doesnt really effect my own thoughts on the race , Overall his stuff wins , what more do you want ,  we cant help if someone decides today i will back kemo or kois and it loses ,,, if they cant see the bigger game , i despair ,

the stuff i put up is deff from everyone elses , diff from kois sometimes , but like his given in the best of faith , i cant offer more than that ,,, if y punt mine you at the minimum lose slowly ,,, but i do think the bigger issue is if you win ,,, keep the cash ,,, dont kep punting till you lose it ,

i for one woudnt punt sausallito , in fact i laid it last time ,,, ok its far better than this lot ,  but it cant jump , ive chatted to a couple of connections with runners and they think theirs have a chance ,,, if the fav jumps its got a chance but no more than a couple of the others one of which ive backe albit not gone mad

jmdc ,,, ref yr valid note on shorties , the morrison lot are very keen on telecaster which is 5/4 or so ,,, but there are newcomers , so i will watch the race ,not have a bet and i hope it wins or at least goes close , that gives me a line on a few of the horses its been  working with , but 5/4 yr aving a laugh , theres always another horse in another race , im ok waiting , best regards

Sorry kemo, I only bet on UK jumps races, I find the media's attempts to stage a race every five minutes totally disconcerting, and a short trip to the workhouse.  I, like you, would not punt Sausalito Sunrise, but I can only see Ravished putting up any opposition.  Another one to watch, I'm afraid!

ravished ran really well in its last point ,,, but so to did damians dilema ,,, its also on its day a decent jumper and connections have had a few quid on it , but they def dont lump on big time ,  sausalitto is maybe the most likely but ive had a bet on damiens ;;; but its speculative

i would actually say this is quite a comp race and gran paradiso lot also think they can beat the fav ,,, again ive had a few quid on as indeed have connections , for me the race is totally fascinating , unless sausallitto strolls home

its a great race for opinions ,,, i know the owners of paradiso,,, they have done a lot of work getting it sorted out physically  and seemed unlucky when moveing up last time ,,, only to fall ,,, i want the horse to win as they are such nice folk ,,, ohh and the fact ive punted it of course

I just felt it was gonna have to work to stay in front at Musselburgh, and this course is a whole difference proposition for a front-runner.

the good thing about hunters is its not exact ,  the bookies dont know the form so they put in big stables as fav , they also dont know the jockeys except to form an opinion of here that shes useless ,  the stuff about arthurs yesterday was so funny yet so ill informed ,,, everyone knows shes not very good , yet she wins lots of races and the real thing is we get better prices cos shes up , if d maxwell was on arthurs it wd av been 1/2,,, when we watch her ride we all smile, but she does ride winners , , cos shes on the best horse , The horse just seemed to need a rest ,,, but a rare blip for this for me at least a money making machine ,, look at how many PTP it wins , you will be staggered ,

I disagree with you about Arthur's Secret kemo, I don't think that Maxwell would have made a lot of difference. Would it have won at Ludlow when Maxwell came off Ballotin?  I personally fancied your horse Master Baker to win it, but felt that a lay of Arthur's Secret was the best way to profit.  Just look back and see what Arthur's Secret has actually achieved.

absolute shoite everyman and his dog no,s the front 3 in the betting are way overbet in hunter chases and bookies lucky if they can lay a bet on any horse outside the front of the market, anyone can argue they've got a decent price because of this, that or whatever, but the chelt fav aside no way hunter followers on here are in front over the last few seasons, books miles in front laying the head of the market imo
