Capt. don’t start venturing down the road that likens the pursuit of advantage as business acumen
Just because people don’t fall over themselves attempting to skin all others at every opportunity doesn’t make them less significant. Track players provide nothing, least of all value, while off course players develop craft and guile. As delays decrease over time I know where I’d want to be, track players have nowhere to go as the water levels rise and will be looking at each other as lunch. |

Captain carnage you sound more like captain clueless to me , I'm happy with my profits this week of 2400 after exes and pc charge for 20 hours work with no travelling or early starts , if that's average so be it good luck with the travelling and exes
By:
what is your pc portal figure bugs?
By:
Willie I don't work 7 days a week I probably have 8 days a month off unless I'm on holiday but after exes and pc I average 1500 a week I consider that a good wage for the hours I put in and if I travelled to a track every day it would be a lot more than 4 hours a day unless I had a helicopter
By:
Captain, which tracks do you play at?

Captain Carnage - you dont fix whats not broke, if bugs went to the track its something completely new to what he is used too and he might blow the lot.. if he is consistent let him be and perfect what he is doing all these years.. the track is defo not for everyone and it is most certainly just for backing!

Ive played everything, at home on tv, ft, blv, trading shop, course boxes, calling outside.
The ranking of people at all forms of skill based gambling games over a long period is the people who earn the most money. The best poker players travel/try and get invited to and may play 48 hours straight in the best games. The best in runners will have travelled all over the country (especially in older times) because `live' feeds give you no disadvantage. Greyhound pros need people to get on for them - the best are the ones who get the most acccounts/people in shops/turnover the most money. Not the best `race reader' who is lazy but only wins 20k a year. |
By:
the games as hard as ever now, plenty struggling big time, you arnt playing each other anymore..its man v bot.
By:
Captain who is lazy and only wins 20k a year I must of missed that post ?
Also how much do you make per hour not day not week not year , HOUR , ta Thanks racingluck your right if I went on track I may lose from getting up early and travelling my mind and reflexes wouldn't be as sharp , here's a good one I heard when some of the track players got access to the sis codes they tried playing on them instead of live and did there brains in |
By:
ive won 3.2 million,567,000 commission and 910,000pc.
but I aint posting these on a public forum. ![]() |

By:
Just bots Willie or are the markets seeded

By:
'their brains'..
and a little tip..believe nothing you read or told and everything you see. |
By:
imo its man v bot...£200 takes it from 2/1 - 5/4 and all bets £8-£25
By:
tis indeed andy,i clicked one at newc few weeks ago for £300...took it 9/2--5/2...around 25 seperate bets average £13 ish.
By:
of course you can still win decent amounts, but you have to be exceptionally discipline and keep to a staking plan, way too many degenerate betting shop gamblers who bet on aways 20yds behind and cant go home losing.
By:
Willie it wasn't hear say it was 100% I know a few track players and the raw feeds just weren't for them dishes and decoders was up for sale on eBay within a month
By:
of course it wasnt for some, plenty come into the game with no racing knowledge, just bet the obvious winner from 2 out.
By:
backing away from the track in the last 3f you simply cannot get any value. and wont last.
By:
The poor code sellers are out of business now and the facetimers may not be far behind them
By:
How much was the facetime per week and how much is it now with the reduced delay
By:
Hourly rate differs markedly by day/time of year etc.
During midweek winter I would almost always try and go to the track. Less meets, more people on track which makes it even harder for those at home. My hourly rate playing 3 meets at home would be poor. In summer with 6/8 meets and some Irish my hourly rate at home would be better than if I went to the track. Like any business you need to be open and alert when its busy. Have any downtime when its quiet or when business is slow/hard. |
By:
Ps Buga you say you only work from minute races start to end. Do you not do any homework/form study?

And btw
value is generated, it comes in many forms and results in profit, whether you lay first or back first. I have multiple examples of 100 plus wins that were simply generated, nothing massive odds but why does that matter? If see people talk about the track boys picking up pennies infront of steam rollers. Well the steam roller just got a new engine. |
By:
Why do you see it as some sort of `them' and us dusty?
100% of track players I know do or have played thousands of races on ruk/blv/ft/pics etc. Most successful people have fingers in several pies. All businesses constantly change and you have to change with it to continue to earn. |
By:
Generally speaking because those that go to the track dont want fairness, sure they pretend they do but they dont, they are scared of it.
Why do you keep applying the business analogy? This is an unregulated sector where privilidge is traded for profit, do you think track players are captains of industry? |
By:
Most players -adv have no respect for those they see as jumping the q
The puzzling thing about Shafty is he says he has more money than he can spend(so thought Michael Carroll.. ) ..so with bulging wallets..and "**** all else to do", why not give up any adv and play exclusively from home? surely the CHALLENGE of winning without an aid would bring more joy than the monotonous game you've already raked a fortune from?(especially since all that can be picked up is paltry compared to the good ol' days) |
By:
of course you'll get value if looking an unlikely winner ydc
By:
There will always be a 'what if'
Doesnt matter what somebody does you might say but something else could have happened The point is you implied those on course see the unlikely turn likely first No they dont, they rely on seeing what has happened and hoping it doesnt change |
