Bruce's departure will be a good test of some forumites' belief that it is Bruce who allowed bookies to get away with FOBTs and knock-backs. It might turn out to be more complicated than that.

If Byrne thinks Millington was a great editor and they are keeping him as a consultant then the next person will be just as bad. Byrne should do one as well.

Absolutely GOOD RIDDANCE! One would be hard pressed to find a more talentless d***ckhead in a village full of idiots. I don't buy the he is "stepping" down bullsh**t. He more than likely has been SACKED - and deservedly so. An incompetent fool, who managed to fool a lot of people for a lot of the time.

Good riddance, the worst person ever to have been in charge of any newspaper in the Universe, horrible vile creature, and that is being kind, anyone that promotes Birchy should be up for treason

They have kept putting the price up over the last few years until it is now £2.90 a day and sales have dropped through the floor, Could be a matter of time until it is online only + betting shop paper, although if the forecast number of shop closures with the cut in stakes on FOBT the betting shop paper could go to the wall. Greed killed the golden goose.

We may be missing the obvious. For at least the past seven years (because it is in the Born to Punt book) golf tipsterer Steve Palmer has said he will spit in the boss's face if he wins £30,000.
