My guess would've been the industry top price 10's,could've had a £ on @ 10s with 356 but wasn't worth the effort signing in.

to be fair they are pundits not journalists. It's the journalists who shd be doing more over bookmakers refusing bets. And these two seem pretty shrewd i doubt any bookies are letting them get too much on.

denzil just run it past us what evidence you have that people in the industry get thousands on for not speaking out?
Who said anything about getting 1000's on?
Common sense tells anybody that those in the game who bet ARE being accommodated by bookmakers,do you think they are all betting on Betfair at race time as wondersobright seems to think without any protest about missing prices on horses they've paid lots of money for to buy and keep?
Are they all working for betting entities without any discouragement from not being able to take a price for their horse and are the rest betting on the track?
Haway it's fantasy island stuff look at the likes of Mick Easterby,Sir Mark Prescott or any old time trainer or owner that likes a bet are they really betting on exchanges at racetime?
Birchy's column was always littered with aftertimed bets of several £100s on horses that collapsed in price, does anybody think the likes of him would be getting bets on win or lose when everyone not in the game who isn't clueless gets pennies early at best.

exactly. If they could get what they want on they'd be putting on for some other shrewdies too. If all media types could get what they want on they'd link up with pro punters/insiders and wipe the firms out.
So your opinion is they all bet at racetime on exchanges/track and aren't accommodated by bookmakers unless they are losers?
Everyone knows that's bolox just look at the David Evans case, who's moving all these markets daily and why when nobody can bet?

Was talking to the fear with that particular reply,as far as the Dixons go I saw that interview with Weaver and laughed, how many times in the past have we heard Chris Dixon in particular say 'I backed him/her @ insert price but isn't much value now' countless is the answer.
At the same time I'm sitting at home thinking I can get best part of f all with bookmakers and these are the experts so how is this possible?
Who are all the tipsters some who will receive comparatively large wages tipping for? Do they not bet themselves? Why would anyone like the Dixons who racing seems to be their life not distance themselves from a duplicitous industry like the betting industry as they still could exist working as pundits and betting on exchanges, instead they work for the industry who won't take their bets no problems no negatives just take a wage that is hard to believe.

you might be overrating how shrewd media types are, most of them, including the ones who give it the big un on twitter etc, are hopeless punters.
agree 100%...hopeless [small staking] punters
