Any updates will the betting peasants hear of this mega gamble on Coral TV (don't know anyone who watches).
Are you lot still advertising racing software with the supposed edge over 99% of punters? The only edge you lot have is you can somehow bet with bookmakers when non clueless punters not involved in horse racing can bet fcuk all that is your edge and if you still can't win you should give up,if you can win how the fcuk are you getting bets on #gravytrainbettingpriviliges #onlyindustrywhereequalitymeansfcukall |

There appears to have been a falling out - and I don't mean between Denzil and the Dixon bruvs - Walkman (1.50 Don), moved from Coley to Mick Applegel, but still in the same ownership.
Quite impressive the amount of ground he made up to win at Salisbury and the form is working out. He looks like he's a got about him physically and looks open to progress, but, not proven on the ground, but will be interested to see how he goes here, and interesting to note that Mick also had him entered for the Listed race on Friday. |

to be fair they are pundits not journalists. It's the journalists who shd be doing more over bookmakers refusing bets. And these two seem pretty shrewd i doubt any bookies are letting them get too much on.

By:
I would imagine firms are more than happy to lay them a fair bet to get the mark...

Good luck to them...they seem to buy well

denzil just run it past us what evidence you have that people in the industry get thousands on for not speaking out?
|
|
By:
CD was interviewed on ATR the other day and he said they [the horse watchers] bet their horse that won but the morning money was nothing to do with them as they cant get on
most people can satisfy their staking requirements on here close to the off, which they did it seems |
|
By:
exactly. If they could get what they want on they'd be putting on for some other shrewdies too. If all media types could get what they want on they'd link up with pro punters/insiders and wipe the firms out.

How can alot of these survive in the game without being able to bet with bookmakers that is complete fiction.
Why is there no outcry from within the game especially where money is involved? |
|
By:
So your opinion is they all bet at racetime on exchanges/track and aren't accommodated by bookmakers unless they are losers
nobody said anything about all this is a thread about the dixons & in particular saaheq |

you might be overrating how shrewd media types are, most of them, including the ones who give it the big un on twitter etc, are hopeless punters.

What Chris Dixon said after the race is absolutely corect.

So those that profess to be professional punters or long term winners and are involved in horse racing whether it be owner, trainer, media, tipster don't get bets on with bookmakers unless they are clueless that's the majority conclusion.
That has to be the biggest pile of horse shyte I've ever heard if that was the case there'd be uproar amongst owners and trainers who fork out vast sums to keep their horses and in some trainers' cases survive the game but can't bet decent sums to recoup any expense. I've said this before my uncle kept telling me about his acquaintance Phil Williams who had £15,000 @ various prices 66s mainly on his horse Son Of Flicka to win a million at Cheltenham, some of which was in shop. I told him I visited a few shops backing the horse and online because bookmakers don't take bets and since I'm not worth £100 million he thought I was billy bulls hitting until proven otherwise which I did. FWIW betting on horse racing has been my income for more than 10 years and I started with buttons at very small stakes and have had accounts restricted/closed plus knockbacks in shops most of that time so stake size has less to do with this issue than what who you are does in my experience,in fact when I still had a normal job and was betting on greyhounds there were limits almost instantly. |

Can't speak for anyone else but the facts regarding the owners getting bets on Saaheq are correct.
It's a very different market getting bets on the Cheltenham Festival than it is a run of the mill handicap at Doncaster in midweek. |

Don't think Mr Williams gets knocked back the rest of time either that was part of the reason of not being believed initially.
On another note was buying a car about a month ago the conversation got onto betting because he asked what I did the guy told me about Northern owners he knew who regularly got 4 figure bets on with bookmakers and he presumed they were winning with it though couldn't be sure. He then told me of his grandad who recently died who was a William Hill VIP for years having 25k on Man Utd to win the league, paid trips to Cheltenham,Ascot,Saint Andrews etc. would regularly bet 4 figures on everyday racing obviously this guy had money and was a serial loser which the guy said as much early in the conversation. Though left his entire family good lumps 13 grandchildren £200K each plus he got bought a 65K Audi and others got presents too money no issue. That case backs up the take anything off deep pocketed losers and nothing off moderate staked potential winners attitude. |
