Sure that Middleham is not the, "highest," training centre in the UK ...
C J 'John' Hill, of Barstaple, used to claim - "Trained at Altitude" - for starters.

And a classic type of Johnston winner as well. The horse's 25th race of the season beaten into 5th at Chelmsford last time...
And typical that Dettori was riding as well.

Ive slated him over the years the most unreliable top trainer ive come across had his best season in 20 years this one, so fair play to him and the record the scattergun approach clearly works for him, hes a punters worst enemy long term and if traditionally you left all his alone youd save yourself a fortune

Ironic that he broke the record at York, as on career stats, it's his worst performing track in the country, the only one where his strike rate is below 10%.
Is it a fluke, or something to do with the where or how he trains, that his three best tracks (all career level stake profit), are Beverley, Carlisle and Goodwood, all right handed and undulating. Whereas his worst tracks are the one like York, flat and left handed - you can add Doncaster and Nottingham.

A punters' pain in the proverbial his runners may sometimes be but it would be uncharitable in the extreme not to congratulate this fantastic feat of training. A belated tipping of my hat to you, sir. The plaudits are well deserved for you and your entire team.
