Report womenandthosewithnointerestinracing • August 16, 2018 3:04 PM BST
Yes, if you can haggle for under 2%
Report pablo-fanque • August 16, 2018 3:05 PM BST
no imo
Report TheFear • August 16, 2018 3:08 PM BST
i thought it might be for small, regular winners. Say you win £200 a day. Push it  bit and still get your £200 even at the higher % on each market.
Report dave1357 • August 16, 2018 3:08 PM BST
if you never lose yes

otherwise you have to work out charges/profits for your method

Zodie would know the best way to play it.

it's just a different  way of collecting PC . if after 2/3 months they have collected less than what they would have with the straight 20%-60% , they will up your fixed rate . if they have taken too much , they will lower it
Report Barton Bank • August 16, 2018 3:16 PM BST
Drop it to one percent and I will be very happy.
Report TheFear • August 16, 2018 3:18 PM BST
it's the psychological aspect i was referring to. Psychologically a small winner may push it a bit more to win a daily total.
Report RacingLuck • August 16, 2018 3:19 PM BST
Surely if you could get 8-10% it would be worth it? as im already paying 4.4% no matter what
Report pablo-fanque • August 16, 2018 3:26 PM BST

that is what i was told effectively by 2 guys at betfair . like dave1357 says , there may well be times that you will be better off depending on how you play , but i just got the impression that if you are better off, they will just up the rate
Report tomhunt • August 16, 2018 3:54 PM BST
so how much are you winning a day fear? coz clearing 6k a month doesn't sound small to me
Report cardenden • August 16, 2018 3:58 PM BST
betfair should make it 60%  for p/charge,,  get rid of the scum i say
Report Deltâ • August 16, 2018 4:01 PM BST
tomh'

80k pa he sayed
Report tomhunt • August 16, 2018 4:03 PM BST
didn't he say about 3 times lately that he lost £500 on a saturday, billy big bollox player wouldn't sniff at losing that surely
Report TheFear • August 16, 2018 4:06 PM BST
im a small player if that's aimed at me. Lost a grand yesterday if that makes you feel better
Report john92 • August 16, 2018 4:14 PM BST
If you traded and were winning relatively little and often then it would be like Christmas everyday. But if you did that they wouldn't offer it in the first place.
Report pablo-fanque • August 16, 2018 4:27 PM BST
john , they would just set the fixed rate percentage appropriate to your figures , so that they are not getting less every month ( on average ) than they would if you was on a straight 40% per week
Report john92 • August 16, 2018 4:36 PM BST
Aye, I was meaning the sort of 9% figure that's been thrown about. I can't see them offering a 26% fixed rate for example.
Report pablo-fanque • August 16, 2018 4:44 PM BST
9% if you are on 20% PC yes .

i don't quite know the maths behind it , but betfair will not be putting anyone on a fixed rate if it means they will be getting less from you .

i am on 40% and was offered something like 17%-18%
Report womenandthosewithnointerestinracing • August 16, 2018 4:45 PM BST
Tell betfair you are an emperor they might sell you some new clothes as well.
Report john92 • August 16, 2018 4:49 PM BST
Fckin hell, I'm surprised they would offer 18%. That would just p1ss me off if I got offered that. They are better not bothering.

They'll have some profit/turnover/number of bets type formula I'm guessing.
Report pablo-fanque • August 16, 2018 4:52 PM BST
yes john , they go by your past P+Ls and commission generated, PC rate, how much you pay each week/month average etc
Report pablo-fanque • August 16, 2018 4:53 PM BST
Happy watwniir
Report RacingLuck • August 16, 2018 5:15 PM BST
So what ur saying then is if i got 9% and had no losses after 3 months they would bump it up to a crazy %?
Report pablo-fanque • August 16, 2018 5:28 PM BST
RL , it was explained to me that it is just a different way of taking PC . so i would say yes . if you are on 20% PC and had no losses , they would re-calculate it after 3 months and see how far short they are of what they would have collected at 20% PC , and adjust your fixed rate accordingly .

if betfair would lose out putting you on a fix rate, then it is 1.01 that they wouldn't put you on it .

i have been on betfair about 10 years , and have never had anything from them , no hat , no scarf , not even a letter through the post lol

they give nothing away
Report RacingLuck • August 16, 2018 5:37 PM BST
So basically its only good for 3 months then go back to normal
Report pablo-fanque • August 16, 2018 5:49 PM BST
i think , if you won and loss in the next 3 months consistently and very similar to the way you did the previous 3/6/12 months, you would be no better off .

someone else may be able to clarify that tbh RL
