Yes, if you can haggle for under 2%
By:
no imo

i thought it might be for small, regular winners. Say you win £200 a day. Push it bit and still get your £200 even at the higher % on each market.
By:
if you never lose yes
otherwise you have to work out charges/profits for your method |

Zodie would know the best way to play it.

it's just a different way of collecting PC . if after 2/3 months they have collected less than what they would have with the straight 20%-60% , they will up your fixed rate . if they have taken too much , they will lower it
By:
Drop it to one percent and I will be very happy.
By:
it's the psychological aspect i was referring to. Psychologically a small winner may push it a bit more to win a daily total.
By:
Surely if you could get 8-10% it would be worth it? as im already paying 4.4% no matter what

that is what i was told effectively by 2 guys at betfair . like dave1357 says , there may well be times that you will be better off depending on how you play , but i just got the impression that if you are better off, they will just up the rate |
By:
so how much are you winning a day fear? coz clearing 6k a month doesn't sound small to me
By:
betfair should make it 60% for p/charge,, get rid of the scum i say
By:
tomh'
80k pa he sayed |
By:
didn't he say about 3 times lately that he lost £500 on a saturday, billy big bollox player wouldn't sniff at losing that surely
By:
im a small player if that's aimed at me. Lost a grand yesterday if that makes you feel better
By:
If you traded and were winning relatively little and often then it would be like Christmas everyday. But if you did that they wouldn't offer it in the first place.
By:
john , they would just set the fixed rate percentage appropriate to your figures , so that they are not getting less every month ( on average ) than they would if you was on a straight 40% per week
By:
Aye, I was meaning the sort of 9% figure that's been thrown about. I can't see them offering a 26% fixed rate for example.
By:
9% if you are on 20% PC yes .
i don't quite know the maths behind it , but betfair will not be putting anyone on a fixed rate if it means they will be getting less from you . i am on 40% and was offered something like 17%-18% |
By:
Tell betfair you are an emperor they might sell you some new clothes as well.
By:
Fckin hell, I'm surprised they would offer 18%. That would just p1ss me off if I got offered that. They are better not bothering.
They'll have some profit/turnover/number of bets type formula I'm guessing. |
By:
yes john , they go by your past P+Ls and commission generated, PC rate, how much you pay each week/month average etc
By:
watwniir |
By:
So what ur saying then is if i got 9% and had no losses after 3 months they would bump it up to a crazy %?
By:
RL , it was explained to me that it is just a different way of taking PC . so i would say yes . if you are on 20% PC and had no losses , they would re-calculate it after 3 months and see how far short they are of what they would have collected at 20% PC , and adjust your fixed rate accordingly .
if betfair would lose out putting you on a fix rate, then it is 1.01 that they wouldn't put you on it . i have been on betfair about 10 years , and have never had anything from them , no hat , no scarf , not even a letter through the post lol they give nothing away |
By:
So basically its only good for 3 months then go back to normal
By:
i think , if you won and loss in the next 3 months consistently and very similar to the way you did the previous 3/6/12 months, you would be no better off .
someone else may be able to clarify that tbh RL |
