But back to the subject of today's pundits and their friends. James Millman, I wasn't listening to everything he said, but I sort picked up that he was saying there was a rail bias at Carlisle, and I think he gave Dizzy G as a case in point, BUT, there were only 5 runners and they were all towards the far side and she actually came away from the inside.

Now what made me think he might have been talking shyte was the 4.25 race, where Billy Dylan and Pea Shooter both went into the race in reasonable form and fair to say they had place chances, but having stuck to the inside rail, it was as if they were trying to run through treacle compared to those racing away from the rail.

I'll report back once I've had the chance to review the card in full.

What I don't understand is how these tiny viewership channels can afford to pay so many people, I mean how?
Report GEORGE.B July 12, 2018 11:30 PM BST
Stu, it's certainly different to how it use to be. I remember back in the day when the on course pundit also had to cover an away meeting. Jeez they had it tough in them days!

I  sometimes wonder if they have a mysterious benefactor, like some billionaire from the middle east who just loves having all these pundits on, or if it's the bookies 'powering' their coverage who insist on having them on and foot the bill!
