Delta, I don't think I'll get a following and I fully expect to get a slating tomorrow. The thing is the plan was to kick off from the start of this month but I could hardly have picked a worse card than this Wolves one. The qualifying races are all class 6 including 2 max field divs of an amateur race. Could be -5 points on day 1.

Not surprised you've left out Newcastle now it's even the heat that can warp the track (standard to slow) last 3 meetings.

Would you believe that it actually rode a bit faster after the first day and they introduced SLOW into the going? It's the slow pace that most races are run at that make it just as much of a minefield though. I am recording figures from Newc though, but rating it very conservatively, you won't see many of my top figures from there.

You're spot on about the pace there everyone shytes themeselves in case they go too quick,at one time there was a huge bias for hold up horses over a mile there it was obscene.
I did figures for all of 2016 and most of 2017 there but was never 100% happy.

67 for Wolves too.

What does help with Newcastle is the ATR results when they've got the sectionals and the other bits and bobs.
It's interesting to do these sorts of things from time to time gets you focussing more on the job without you realising whether it's guff or not.
The My ratings bit on RP was handy for me as my IT is chit.

Why focus on the low standard AW racing when the turf flat is having a nice settled spell of weather & G/F ground?

Your presentation was excellent mouse,keep at it and you will spot trends to support.Winners will often come from among the top rated,not always the top rated. Shocks will come from layoffs or stables that can prepare a winner from the gallops after a layoff and others will just be false run races.

Are you are using a spreadsheet & some labour intensive, manual work?
If so, you should consider learning about databases (e.g. Access 2000, which is part of office 2000 professional ca £15 on ebay)
Racing sense is a tenner a month & has 10 years flat & NH form. The daily updates contains yesterdays results & tomorrows decs. (which is the bit that costs)
You can download the database for free to have a look. The database is in Access 97 format, but you can link tables to other databases from later versions.
Windows 7 is advised.

Tracks are so slow that you get different horses winning to the types that have the best speedfigures not all but lots that have run well when srfaces are quick bomb out when tracks are this slow..

There were track records on the round course going on st/slow there from what I remember.
