- They had to re-align the Straight Course - moving it Inwards, from, the Golden Gates One Mile start by a gradually increasing angle, that ended up meaning a completely NEW COURSE from around the 6 furlong start.
A new BASE was put down - at that has affected everything.

Such exagerasted distances Ascot Resulots often travel/transcribe to OTHER courses with a 'relevance' - or, perhaps, irrelevance - similar to the way that Results from the likes of Epsom and Chester (don't do) to elsewhere.

I would be more concerned about how difficult - Calyx aside - it is to win from on the pace. Plenty of times the pace this week has literally collapsed way before the finish. Horses are not being carried into races and you are trying to find horses who can literally sustain something like a two furlong burst. That sort of quality isn't needed elsewhere and I suspect much of this straight course form isn't going to translate very well.
