Placed bet on 6.55 at Poole greyhounds, Betfair voids race, I take money out. Now my account reads minus figures becaus they reinstated the market and put my money back in. What course of action should I take?
'jack45', I experienced the identical situation just recently eg I withdrew money (£20.70) after laying a Betfair settled antepost non-runner, then resettled by Betfair as a runner. I'd had over 13 chat exchanges despite able to pin-point the cause - I was told several differing causes; given 2 £10 free bonus (lost) for the inconvenience, but account only reconciled and corrected after the event (race) had taken place. Prior to this, account would need to be funded to positive balance before a bet could be placed. This scenario could be a nightmare if the amoutn is significant, and disputed, indecipherable and not clear-cut.

the race may have been re run but surely once a race is voided and all money returned they shouldnt be able to vacuum money back from peoples account and into a new market. Anyway after a string of chat etc i was refunded the money

Yep, 'Betfair' is a law unto itself eg why made an antepost runner a non-runner so early, and then reinstated instigating a negative account balance. My main gripe with them was they stated it could have be a greyhound bet I'd done, but I do not do greyhound bet at all. Imagine one's account had been hacked and money gone awry,..would they own up to it or blame account holder?

A few weeks ago I came across a scenario on late night American racing where it was possible to lay the first 2 favs in a race and make a small profit while having the other 5 runners as pure profit.Nedless to say it didn't work out -it was a well executed reduction factor scam.My €180 profit changed to a loss of €150.Did I complain to customer services -no -even though it was a clear case of market manipulation they are completely useless.
