well well well , just back from a month in the south of france , so ist of all let me say thank you to cardenden and of course his best mate mumms for keeping a close eye on the thread , it seems the content hasnt improved indeed apart from the many  lays that cardy and mums put up which showed very good profits, the somewhat few and indeed nervous lays  of the main thread poster have failed massivly to repair the 11point hole in the thread gained ; if thats the word at the end of last month , the change in tactics from laying to MENTIONING? ?? a weasel word indeed and of course squirrels arnt too keen on weasels as you know , seems not to have helped indeed has perhaps doubled the loses to over 22 points in short shrift , my original projection in october that with the few bets and indeed the number of consecutive losers  it would take him ie ex pat in germany until March to get to break even ie if he stops letting the pressure get to him of scrutiny of what horses he suggests others punts , i still see no evidence of him actually punting himself indeed it seems a forgotten topic ,  So at present rate of punting on lays and even if the all lose ; they wont of course it will be midsummer before  you followers and there seems little evidence that apart from a couple of lost souls who still have faith in the messiah are hanging around to find out , i suppose this means now you actually accept there was at least a degree of truth in what i pointed out many months ago , ie if you follow this guy you will lose , my words im afraid have proved correct , im sure he will carry on with his non punting suggestions ,and the deluded few who remain will hope to win on any of his bets given ,  but you now know the facts and the saying you can take a horse to water but you cant make it drink fits perfectly ;

Good afternoon Guys and Girls from a wintry (snow) München.

Back in the ‘Das Fatherland' after a chilly weekend in Linköping.

Summary of my yesterday's thoughts (3 selections).

1.00 Fairyhouse

Envoi Allen did the business (8/11) as expected (my only bet yesterday on BF) and continued his unbeaten record without being troubled too much. Always traveling well and hurdling fluently in the main, he never really looked like being caught once he led just before 2 out. One of the Leopardstown Grade 1’s is on the horizon after Christmas (i suspect it will be the later one (December hurdle on 29th).

Whether he takes in the Supreme or Ballymore at Cheltenham (i think the latter) he’s certainly going there with a favourites chance, in fact, it wouldn’t surprise me if he took the CH route, he could be that good and the division is not so strong at the moment with question marks against several. 6 year olds have quite a good record in the race as well.

1.30 Fairyhouse

In the Drinmore Chase, I fancied Samcro (13/8) to beat Fakir D’oudairies and in my opinion backers were probably unlucky. The latter was certainly the better jumper (impressive at some of the fences) but between the flights Samcro was always going the easier. Approaching 2 out, there was only 0.5L between them and JK was certainly the least animated of the two jockeys with Samcro going well, but unfortunately he sprawled on landing, robbing spectators of what could have been a great duel on the approach to the last and the run in.

Of course the final fence could have been the clincher, but Samcro is so powerful on the run-in (almost Altior like) and his last race at Fairyhouse is testamnent to this (drew well clear to win by 17L). If he had been a length down at the last I still think he would have won. I hope the horse is OK, he seemed to be dragging a hind leg a little, although I haven’t seen any negative reports so far.

I sense FD will be trained for the Arkle, his slick jumping is a mega advantage. As for Sanmcro, I suspect he will stay at 20f.

2.05 Fairyhouse

My EW selection (at 11/1) Glorious Galway finished 4th (15 runners, some bookies paid out on enhanced placing) that was a gallant effort after trying to make all over 29f in soft going. Several mistakes didn’t help him, but he was 6L clear at one stage and only tired before being joined 2 out.

On to today

Travelling and lack of races left may prevent a lay selection, although there’s still a few late races on the AW.

I noticed the resident nutter is back with us in his previous guise, albeit still posting as others in the meantime. A month in Betfair jail (France my ars*) has obviously not tempered his frustration at lack of attention from others, but I doubted it would anyway and I continue not to respond to him personally on this thread at least. It appears the Squirrel threads are relics of the past and currently in hibernation for the winter anyway.

Bitbybit,

Many thanks for posting my last 3 BF lays, as you say, it doesn’t have to be proven and neither of the 3 ugly sisters have ever posted a P/L, but there’s a good reason why. Wink

Glasgow Calling,

Nice Nap Andrew" Well Done”

Thank you, but it was an easy pick and not as good as yours on Saturday that was a massive bonus Wink. WD

Good luck and have a nice Monday all.

Lay status up later (6 from last 7 selections successful and the winner was very lucky).

yr missing the point he doesnt bet  never has done ,,,  so i will only post horses im prepared to share with the forum ,  the other bets are just for squirrels and the odd non squirrel , i repeat i will post on here horses im prepared to share with the forum ,  i will of course keep posting my thoughts on individual races  but its unlikely you will know which horses i intend to punt if any , i gave you my insight into the 2.00 Plump 1st 2nd  3RD , all listed as having chances , the squirrels and me had a bet but as i dont aftertime its pointless asking me what it was ,

When i saw the card, i fully expected another hype horse Samcro to be favourite for the Drinmore chase (1.30) even allowing for Fakir D'Oudairies in the field. I've always thought Samcro was a chaser in the making and the 20f will suit him better than the shorter trips he ran over as a hurdler. Has to give 8 lb to FD who is stepping up in trip and a 4 year old hasn't won this race before. I would rather be a layer than a backer of FD.

kemo sabe 02 Dec 19 14:32
as you said cardy the lay was samcro , clearly stated ,,,  but of course he doesnt punt ,,

ive said i will post any selections i have for the forum members on the AIS daily nap lay thread ,  im sure they will be as frequent as his lays that he actually bets himself ,   so i wouldnt be in a hurry to look every day for a bet ,

my other stuff will continue to go to squirrels and the few non squirrels i chat to ,  these bets carry my own cash  ,

i will offer my thoughts on other individual races if ive free time to do so ,,, what i did learn in france was the less time i spend winding you lot up the more cash i make , so today is a a changeover day for me  ie ive time to share a few thoughts , its not going to last im sure ;  the thoughts i offer will be based on specific horses i know or know about , but i wont be telling anyone except squirrels  which we are punting ,  im sure most of you will be clever enough to work out yr own bets ; or indeed if there is a bet ,

im told a couple of the forum members have a mole to give you all the inside stuff why not just ask them ,

Ashleigh,

Thanks for the information, Coolmore never tell me anything. They owe me for promoting TS on here anyway. Wink

Actually if i had a spare million or 2, i might try to buy Honeysuckle (winner at Fairyhouse yesterday) another mare, although i'm not sure she would be as fast as Mabs Cross, but the latter would be useless over 20f at Fairyhouse. Laugh

good morning cardy ;;; i have to say the place seems very quiet these days , might even say dead ,  my trip to france seems to have allowed a depression to have enveloped the place , bit like the mist in the ist scene of the scottish play  , anyway ive the joy of a trip to wishaw to check how the lumberjacks are getting on  but no doubt i shall return  im spending  2 grand of my winnings on landscaping a  huge garden ,  i like chopping i like chopping and i like to chop,  i think i was charlie dimmock in a prev life  catch you later ;;  strange no response to my who got 4 places on the AIS  irish i won loads thread ,  of course the reality was odds on winner  a lay that won and of course an ew bet that didnt place ,  but truth was never  place for the thread was it ,  i see hes still not betting ,,, i ist asked why in july ,  i think he doesnt bet cos simply he loses , and of course the figs show just that ,,, laters
