if we take a 6 grand bet of a trainer betting his own horse it's perfectly reasonable that in return he will give us information that is not in the public domain that we can then use to defraud hundreds of thousands of pounds from the british betting public.

If it takes 3 years for a token punishment with evidence as damning as that, what chance do punters have.
They are not bothered about customers don't bet with them.
I take from that transcript, it must have been recorded by Ladcrooks (all calls are recorded for security purposes) and it was them who shopped Dodgy Dave.
They have incriminated themselves for insider trading and that evidence would be damning in a court of law. Nice of them to shoot themselves in the foot.

Dave Back went off 6/4 fav but only finished 4th. Just confirms my view that Ladcrooks are just that and used inside knowledge without question and many lower tier trainers know feck all about their horses winning chance.
except for the angels of this world everybody knows that dodgy dealing is at hand . i bet in the big competitive races when you cant do this as the standard is too high . its not right however and i wonder why a trainer can have a betting account but a jockey cannot ? if your playing in low class it takes little to win so its open to abuse , they cant do this if you bet in the big competitive races ie the ladbrokes gold cup

Thank you for putting this thread up. Very rarely do I bet with L'brokes and after reading this it goes to show what contempt punters are held in.

Remember this site is run by one of the bookmaking groups that take away privileges, restricts stakes, close accounts on a whim if you win, no matter how little and they fail to entice you into their web of deception (FBOTs, Lottery, Virtual Racing scams where the rule is you can't win if you bet regularly).
There is now an unhealthy relationship when one bookmaker merges with another who operates an exchange, so they can monitor betting patterns and contravene data protection of its punters.
Notwithstanding the cosy relationship that the big bookmakers have with the BHA and Gambling Commission to ride rough-shod over punters.
Like I said before ...it stinks the place out.
Let's see how long this post lasts ....hope some of you saw my last post before it was culled.

I spoke about this on another thread a while back and people still won't believe it happens. Trainers get on with good amounts so long as they give info regarding other runners. It's been happening for years. 'You've got the other one as well' and 'what's the message there' that Evans is asked are similar to 'how's your other ones gonna run today' or 'do you not fancy your other one today' that they get asked as well. Bookies will do the transaction knowing they will make a lot more later on a horse/horses they know won't be winning.
It stinks to high heaven, if that isn`t insider dealing and if that isn`t cheating - what is??
Hopefully Chappers will have something to say on Saturday - will anything be done.

What should be of concern is that the current head of BHA was still in charge of Ladbrokes (had been appointed by the BHA) at the time .

just to confirm, this is an organisation that will ban you, restrict you, limit you to buttons, send the boys round to have a word if you so much as have a tenner on a 9/2 shot when its 5.4 to lay here.

And on both Channels today more Reps are wheeled out to peddle their spiel and not, to my knowledge, have they been questioned once by any of the gravy train merchants..Seems quite clear to me who runs racing..
The issue, as everyone is bored with me saying, is that those who are supposed to be policing companies like Ladbrokes, through their jobs as journalists in this industry, are working for them on the side...

Ima is a timewaster and only here to argue. He (I presume it is a he) would even argue that the Earth is square despite pictorial evidence it is not; a waste of space, and best to put on ignore asap.

I am still here, but didn't see the point of commenting on the bleeding obvious. The BHA are the most corrupt party in all of this imo, they just let it carry on with not a care in the World for the punter AT ALL. Yet it's 1.001 the next appearance we see from a certain Mr Rust will be telling us all how straight the sport is now, and how everyone should have such great faith in the Integrity of it!!!!! Whilst he is saying it all with a straight face and nose not actually growing, the presenter (whoever it is) will just be nodding like a lapdog and not question a single thing. Case closed and that will be the end of it.
No doubt if that transcript would have had a certain Mr Best/Curley involved it WOULD be headline news, and an investigation with a lengthy ban (if they didn't balls it up as per).

Has it been established/published? - just how, and why, this bet by Evans (and by definition, other bets) - came to the attention of the BHA - and, thus, prompted the BHA Disciplinary Hearing?

Only 3 parties were involved here ie Evans, Ladbrokes and the BHA. Even a moron can dismiss it was at the behest of Evans - what the heck for (?)...incurring a £3k fine in the process; neither the BHA as they do not have access to the daily goings-on/recordings at Ladbrokes, thus leaving the Magic sign themselves ie grassing/screwing up Evans, and trying to paint themselves whiter than white - a bookie definition of gamekeeper turn poacher!

Ima is a timewaster and only here to argue. He (I presume it is a he) would even argue that the Earth is square despite pictorial evidence it is not; a waste of space, and best to put on ignore asap.
It might actually help if you understood what was being said, so if I'm a "timewaster" and "a waste of space" when saying:
"It goes without saying that the whole affair was very iffy.." and "...doesn't that just add to it all and how shady the whole thing was?"
then presumably so is everybody else in the thread a "timewaster" and "a waste of space" if they also think there were underhand things going on here, meaning you must disagree with me and everyone else on that and think everything was fine and above board. How naive of you then and do you still believe in Father Christmas and the Tooth Fairy too?

A person could assume that Evans isn't wanted or is co-operating in "further" enquiries given they could've just ended his career with relative ease.
for me Evans has not done anywhere near as bad a thing as the Rule 4 potential manipulation
I had a ladbrokes account rarely bet with. Started 2 weeks ago. Lost 700 then won 2 then 300 . Lost 100 next day e mail saying no best odds boosts etc.
Just spoke them now and fella said it to do with my exchange betting? I said what ? He mentioned ****, I don't have account there .
He repeated said shouldn't really tell me bit says regarding exchange ...
I was doen 300 quid on acc and lost 100 day previous.
