wow how is that not bringing racing into disrepute

Former City trader Tom Hayes has been found guilty at a London court of rigging global Libor interest rates.
He was sentenced to 14 years in prison for conspiracy to defraud. |

What do you have to do to get banned like to think racing is fairly straight but stuff like that makes you think

well if bookies are taking 6 grand bets of trainers betting their own horse common sense that bookies are getting something in return

^ and trainer getting an extra half point for his trouble

if we take a 6 grand bet of a trainer betting his own horse it's perfectly reasonable that in return he will give us information that is not in the public domain that we can then use to defraud hundreds of thousands of pounds from the british betting public.
seems entirely reasonable ![]() |
|
By:
idnt say it was reasonable
but if they wont take a 6 or 50 quid bet off joe muggins on account it has the same name as his old granny, you,d be a bit green behind the ears to think they wernt getting their card marked off trainers betting their own horses for 30 grand running in a few hrs time |

If it takes 3 years for a token punishment with evidence as damning as that, what chance do punters have.
|
|
By:
They are not bothered about customers don't bet with them.

I take from that transcript, it must have been recorded by Ladcrooks (all calls are recorded for security purposes) and it was them who shopped Dodgy Dave.
They have incriminated themselves for insider trading and that evidence would be damning in a court of law. Nice of them to shoot themselves in the foot. Was this all intended to be forgotten about, for fear of bad press etc BHA? ... I know you monitor the posts on here! The same scenario happened again last June, in the seller at Windsor the Monday before Royal Ascot, where Dodgy Dave had 3 runners including the morning favourite Shovel It On, who was pulled out of the race an hour before racing on a self cert (injured in box), to allow the second fav. Tie Em Up Tel also trained by DD to be hammered in the betting, and went on to win comfortably, his other runner Give Em A Clump finished third. Now was this a repeat that goaded the shafted Ladcrooks into raising the matter about the previous incident with the BHA? .... Bookmakers, can we have more transcripts, please! Think these Lee Power owned runners are aptly named .... Tie Em Up Tel, Give Em A Clump and Shovel It On. ...LoL!! Merry Xmas and a Happy Trustworthy NEW YEAR ..... some hopes, St Nicholas (Rust) .... in whom we can trust. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
|
By:
Do you have faith in the BHA as a regulatory body?
|
|
By:
not until they can explain who's backing those 9/4 shots into 6/4 at chelmsford city
when they can get 9/2 for anything they like here ... |
|
By:
Lib,
Not when the head honcho of the BHA is a former Ladcrooks executive. .... if that is not a conflict of interest, I do not know what is!! The whole organisation is a self-serving den of iniquity ... NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE. How many more c*ck-ups and staff members suddenly being demoted or shoved upstairs are there going to be. I would like to hear what the Gambling Commission have to say about the transcript ... or like most of the racing press, they too have been gagged or had pressure put to bear on them. Likely some of the posts on here will now suddenly and quietly disappear ... like a few individuals have lately ... OOOps! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
|
By:
Now that phone call is exactly why people won't bet on horseracing .
|
|
By:
^ Do you really think that the GAMBLING COMMISSION would understand?
Just a QUANGO set up by Government to create a load of overpaid, under productive, Civil Service jobs. |

Matt Chapman, you have your chance to tell us what you think should be done, this saturday morning at 9.30am itv 1 or 4

So they are happy to lose £24,000 to an insider but would knock back the man in the street for relative peanuts? Crazy stuff. You really do wonder how much more of this kind of thing nobody will ever get to hear about?
|

What has been revealed ... how to make Dodgy Dave laugh ... almost impossible normally ...
![]() Mr Grumpy always looks down in the mouth, except when he has had a winner and the bar is open. A former broadcaster, journalist and jockey's agent (TN) regales everyone of the times when he tried to book a mount on the phone with DD ... one syllable curt answers and the phone slammed down was the usual response. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

How being an owner with Dave Evans works then:
The horse is 7/2 The trainer gets 4/1 The owners get 3/1 The horse gets stuffed The bookmaker gets to keep an extra 5% from anyone who backed the winner. |
|
By:
Oh, and I forgot to add ...
At the end of the month the owners send Dave Evans a cheque for the privilege. |

The sickening thing for me is cutting the price of a horse they KNOW is going to be a N/R to increase the Rule 4. Scandalous.

Dave Back went off 6/4 fav but only finished 4th. Just confirms my view that Ladcrooks are just that and used inside knowledge without question and many lower tier trainers know feck all about their horses winning chance.
|
|
By:
except for the angels of this world everybody knows that dodgy dealing is at hand . i bet in the big competitive races when you cant do this as the standard is too high . its not right however and i wonder why a trainer can have a betting account but a jockey cannot ? if your playing in low class it takes little to win so its open to abuse , they cant do this if you bet in the big competitive races ie the ladbrokes gold cup

29 Nov 17 19:06 The sickening thing for me is cutting the price of a horse they KNOW is going to be a N/R to increase the Rule 4. Scandalous. Old news, been going on forever. Just one of a plethora of fraudulant practices undertaken by bookmakers on a daily basis... |

Comment about it allegedly being a regular mispractice removed, touchy innit.

Thank you for putting this thread up. Very rarely do I bet with L'brokes and after reading this it goes to show what contempt punters are held in.
Like someone earlier posted in the financial world inside info leads sometimes to imprisonment. |

The last post of mine has been removed overnight... Why? ... because it told the truth and the truth hurts.
Remember this site is run by one of the bookmaking groups that take away privileges, restricts stakes, close accounts on a whim if you win, no matter how little and they fail to entice you into their web of deception (FBOTs, Lottery, Virtual Racing scams where the rule is you can't win if you bet regularly). There is now an unhealthy relationship when one bookmaker merges with another who operates an exchange, so they can monitor betting patterns and contravene data protection of its punters. Notwithstanding the cosy relationship that the big bookmakers have with the BHA and Gambling Commission to ride rough-shod over punters. Like I said before ...it stinks the place out. Let's see how long this post lasts ....hope some of you saw my last post before it was culled. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

It stinks to high heaven, if that isn`t insider dealing and if that isn`t cheating - what is??
Hopefully Chappers will have something to say on Saturday - will anything be done. Until the punishment fits the crime, and is seen to fit the crime then what is the point? Finally, workrider, I agree it will always be the Hennessey |

this Kenny geezer sounds a bit clued up ... your honour .
|
|
By:
The only surprising thing is that people are surprised.
Ask yourselves why is it that trainers can get on but Joe bloggs can't get a score on. |
|
By:
Lambeth ...
Kenny knows a lot more than he lets on ... if he told everything he would be banned for life from this site (like a few others in the past). There is no way "Chappers" will become involved in this story ... why? .... because he is paid by Scumbets to promote their iffy betting organisation ... if you did not know it before, they have a maximum payout per day of a miserly £10,000 and woe betide you if you win a couple of times for meagre amounts, they will close your account to bet on horse racing ... but suggest you can carry on losing money on their Casino games, Lottery & Virtual Racing. Why does the so-called ![]() ![]() ![]() "paper of the people" not print these stories and concerns about the betting industry? ... for fear of losing the valuable revenue for advertising from them.I rest my case of the persecution of punters ... Your Honour! |

What should be of concern is that the current head of BHA was still in charge of Ladbrokes (had been appointed by the BHA) at the time .
He would surely have known about this cosy relationship between bookie & trainer. Has he anything to say ? |
