As an owner (regardless of in running) the customer/patron is MUCH MORE important than the few people in a box. And the racegoers experience shouldn't be lowered for in running purposes.

the pictures on the tv's are delayed by 1.5 seconds..it doesnt effect anything wotsoever unless you're streaming the pictures elsewhere.

This delay doesn't stop the media being stolen. It slows down the speed of the media that's being stolen. So they aren't protecting their media rights. Anybody with half a brain or without a stake in the game can acknowledge it's a cover.

How much of a furlong is 1 and a half secs, willie? I've heard you mention distances in terms of in running in the past.
By:

When: 23 Aug 17 15:00
They can still physically facetime and steal the media so it's clearly not about protecting media rights.
By:

When: 23 Aug 17 15:01
So nobody has a problem in the tracks protecting their rights. Why do they then feel the need to  allow a backhander from a few people to allow them a real "live" picture ? Why not slow everyone down ?

willie, what measures do the courses take to police the use of pictures in the selective boxes?
If they dont police them in there too then its a duplicitous argument isnt it?

in my boxes the threat of a free holiday in Kielder normally suffices.
By:

Thats all well and good but how do the tracks themselves know others are as vigilant?
By:

spose they assume folk are there for the advantage and wont be streaming them..people have recently been caught and spoken to.

Even if the facetimers were completely eradicated, it would still be possible to stream the audio in real time. This would still enable the at-home punters to profit by following the advice of some of our excellent race-callers such as Derek Thompson.

Imagine going to Cheltenham ,,, Annie Power's coming to the last, you're watching the big screen and OOOOH goes up from those watching through binoculars 2 seconds before you see it. She's down. Your enjoyment spoilt.
