He looked as if he'd just given up 2f out..
By:
What was he doing . Stopped riding
Shocker |
By:
wtf?
By:
He's tired from counting his money. Have a lie down William....
By:
Good God, that was a hideous ride. He clearly stopped riding 2 out, absolutely shocking.
By:
Got that so, so wrong it was beyond belief...
By:
absolute terrible, shocking, sack him NOW
By:
That was bizarre.
100% that break in riding stopped him winning (judging on losing distance) Seemed trouble by Frankie on the French horse. Virtually let him through. Not his best ride. He will be very disappointed. |
By:
The old I couldnt give a toss ride !!! Same old same old
By:
looked like dropping out that's why he stopped riding, wouldn't back a horse in that ground nuts
By:
he should get a massive ban for that, how is that riding the horse to obtain it's best position.
he gave up then decided to try again and the horse almost still wins ![]() |
By:
ITV studio desperately holding themself back from saying what every man and his blind dog can see
By:
disgusting ride, no one says FA to him
By:
C$ will rip into him soon

By:
I only try in the Dubai World Cup ride....

Horse is a difficult ride but quite a few jockeys would have won on it.
By:
C4 *
By:
On the other hand if he eased him down, there would be no thread.
By:
As I said on the thread I raised before the race these conditions are just an excuse for jocks like Buick to take it easy.
By:
That was the worst ride I have seen in all my years
By:
An absolute disgrace. How anyone can defend Buick is beyond me. How does he explain that??
By:
Murtagh just said "he wasn't able to ride it," What an absolute croc that is. Just say it how it is like the rest of us.
By:
Gravy train mob doing everything they can to come up with a legitimate reason for Buick's ride..
By:
Thought he was gone so started to look after the horse, got it wrong, I suppose there is a modicum of credit to be given as once he realized he tried to get back and face this criticism whereas he could have looked after himself and let it drop away and we'd not have known.
By:
Totally inept ride, Fahey must be incandescent - even Hanagan would have won on that!
By:
very similar ride to the one he gave Stage Magic on its bow, that was easily forgivable but not this ride, he showed the courage of a mouse there
By:
Absolute discrace, what was he thinking, A million pound race and he just gives up !!!!!!!!!!
By:
Fahey looked sick..
By:
Imagine the scenario: Breeders Cup Mile 6,000 miles away and an American jockey takes the ride and rides exactly the same race as Buick has just done! I suspect our wonderful pundits might view things a tad differently..
By:
His biggest mistake was not coming all the way over to the rail, allowing Dettori to get a sniff. I thought he eased not because the horse hadn't got it but because he thought he was gonna get squeezed, and hadn't the balls to stand his ground.
By:
Should be banned for a year lol
By:
Should have been right on the rail not leaving any room for the French horse. I wouldn't be able to sleep for weeks losing a race like that.
By:
Like so many of our jockeys he fails to understand the tactical importance of staying on the rail when in the lead.
He allowed Frankie to come up inside him and that clearly unsettled Rib. You could see him cocking his head and looking over at Zelzal. If he stays on the rail Frankie has nowhere to go and he has a much better chance of winning. |
By:
That was disgusting, nothing to do with the ground, he should have never given Frankie the chance to get on the rail
By:
These clowns in RUK make me sick
By:
Agree Deptford,Cunningham etc not mentioned Buick.
By:
"meat in the sandwich" says Weaver. There was no sandwich at all, Buick stopped riding. Just say what we all saw man.
By:
Clown on the radio said Ribby was "unlucky"

Interesting that so many on here know what Buick did wrong but all the pundits simply refuse to criticise anyone , as they are too close to the game.
