you would certainly question his ability on results. he seems nowhere near the top table given the calibre and numbers he handles. these lads that support him would leave you forever goggle-eyed.

He has so many horses and trained for so long, he is going to have trained some winners. For me, he is not a top trainer.

What someone like Weld would've done with the offspring of those staying mares he has had through his hands from the Arabs, it doesn't bear thinking about.

He seems to be moving back toward 2yos and a more precocious type in the last couple of years and he should stick at that, he won't be training horses to win prestige, blue chip group 1 races, as your list suggests in the main, as it happens.

I don't think he gets the best from what he has. Yalta is a talented horse that would've done a lot more elsewhere, incidently.

so we've gone from he is not a good trainer to he is not a top trainer,

carry on Crazy

Lumiere, huge natural talent not made the most off under that regime. Massive underachiever.

Awzaan was another going further back, horses like Shakespearian and

Johnsons is not a place for real ones, its a spot for 3yo geldings who happen to find themselves well-handicapped because of the way they have been campaigned and the odd sharp 2yo. That's it.

You're being pedantic now. He is not a good trainer.

He has over 200 horses, and won't be a factor in any of the top races this summer, is that a good trainer?

ask yourself why he has over 200 horses to train when he is not based in Newmarket or other fashionable centres,

anyway, I am bored of you now, believe what you want !

Not everybody wants to pay the cost of having a horse in Newmarket. There are people futher north in England that want to own racehorses relatively near to where they live. Inertia would be another reason he has maintained his numbers.

Not bothered whether you're "bored" of me or not, seeing as you regard to that level of childishness, you can rest assured that I have no regard for your opinion, either and won't be interacting with you again on this forum.

Thank you, carrot. Looks an interesting one on two counts, that they're persevering with her after so long off, and it's Aidan who's taken her on.

Killer. Sums up my day, backed limited reserve at haydock and the two runners at kempton and musselbrugh that fell out of the stalls.

Big plunge on the winner there!

Interesting one tomoz in the Classic Trial at Sandown, Intern making its debut for Raif Beckett. Currently around a 10s poke.

The fav Monarchs Glen looked a monster at Kempton and not surprisingly has been put in at odds on.

That ran an excellent race George, thanks
Another for Beckett in the 6.00 at Donny. No bargain around 3/1 but an interesting runner.

Yes, an interesting one bobbyjo, and seems an odd switch given the owner!

Fwiw, I didn't think the Noseda horse was ever getting a clear shot at it last time at the Craven meeting, so wouldn't want to judge him too harshly on that.

And Stoute's is interestingly persevering with a once-raced 4YO Hamdan horse, so all things considered, may be one just to watch!

I nearly put the Noseda horse on my notebook thread, but the 'unknowns' in the race put me off, plus wouldn't be surprised if he turns out to better over further, though he's obviously capable at 7f.
