Racing UK should be getting a subscriber surge , if you at all serious about racing it's the only choice , ITV is an astonishing 7.5 seconds behind RUK

Name a single other sport whose main coverage is aimed at enticing people into the sport rather than those who already enjoy it.....

I Genuinely feel sorry for some people and the "lives" they must have. Just filled with negativity and sadness judged by the miserable comments here. The only surprise is that i'm surprised.

Cringeworthy stuff. They are trying far too hard and it is all very forced. McCoy looks as though he is suitably embarrassed with it all. All that said, if they could at least provide a clear camera lens, then the other bits could be forgiven until they find their feet.

Trident,
Your first time horse racing public argument may have had some merit when we had only 3 or 4 terrestrial channels. Sorry but it's complete garbage now we have so many channels. People will have channel hopped and seen racing before. Alienating your core viewers isn't a good idea. Though to be fair the horse racing authorities are doing that in general with racing. Why the hell do we have so many meetings today after the big night last night when betting is so quiet? Hardly any racing on the Bank Holiday tomorrow!!

Most of you are being foolish. No coverage would be good enough for you. If you find yourself hating C4, ITV, ATR and RUK, had you considered the problem might be you?

The horse has gotta be pretty short here to be fair. I know Chapman aint the slimmest...

Anyway I've done my bit and brought this thread to the top a few times to help create interest in the new channel. So can others keep doing the same, so some in runners might look at it and forget to switch back to RUK. Cheers.

Dear ITV

No light heartedness please, I've lost fcking thousands of pounds on this sport over too many years I care to remember and as a consequence I'm a miserable c unt who can't see the good or positive in anything.

Rather interestingly they havent mentioned the exchanges

On the advert front, there seems rather LESS
Perhaps the higher rate on ITV maybe the reason

chamberlain its cold with an arctic wind, fitzy its getting softer by the minute, cut back to chamberlain its bitterly cold here, cut back to fitzy on track its very soft ground, i gave it half an hour without seeing a horse, can only get better i suppose but not for me.

First time on the channel and "racing's doomed", i would think that's a bit of an over reaction Facts. Same old same old, the average punter's default mindset is a negative one. Argue all you want, i'm afraid that's a fact.

Oh for the days when we saw the horses, LIVE in the parade ring, with comments on their previous runs, sometimes backed up by video replays. In between races nowadays we have idiots trying to jazz up the sport. It DOESN'T NEED JAZZING UP!! The type of carp we are dished up at the moment will probably lead to an increase of lumpheads wearing horses head masks on track. Gone all in with £3 on the nose knobheads!

I like it, tiz jolly - what a lot of guys on here seem to have missed, is that they are trying to appeal to people without exposure to this great sport before (apologies if someone has already mentioned that)

Matt Chapman introduces himself to a new audience.  100'000's of people now saying "who's that tw@t."

Chapman behaves as if his life's ambition is to be the compare of a daytime quiz show.
