Thought this was going to look really controversial when read the thread,i can't see anything in the ride whatsoever the horse dogged the whole race think it dogged every hurdle bar one.I don't see which part of the race walsh was supposedly not trying, horse looked beat was never going to win even if it could've got slightly closer...

Horse never jumped and he actually got through the gap he intended to coming round the home bend so no issues from me on that score. The race was already lost by then. Nobody can tell me if the horse had gone from 4.1 to 2.8 near the off he'd have been ridden the same way. Also the fact that his well supported stablemate won having been in the first 2 the whole way round leaves the ride open to debate/criticism

I get the impression that some on here think I thought the horse should have won the race. That is not what all this is/was about. My beef is the way Walsh sat, motionless, letting all in front do as they please. Then when it looked like he was about to "do something" he did! Shoved it behind other horses! That is NOT negotiable in my view. Visual evidence is there for all to see.

Evilroyslade. Your bang on its not about the horse winning the race. It's what was done to make sure it couldn't win that's the big problem here. It's same trick every time from this jockey when horse is non jigger

It is the complete and obvious lack of intent from the start that people object to. I also think part of the reason the horse didn't jump well was because he was being restrained. And, no I am not suggesting he would have won either.

It's very easy for a jockey to confuse a horse this most likely reason it didn't jump well. Then they have valid excuse straight away. Horse didn't jump well as trainer stated in poet race interview.

sporting life
11-7 R Walsh 3/1 Towards rear, not jump well, moderate 6th approaching 2 out, SOME HEADWAY AND NOT MUCH ROOM early straight, moderate 4th from before last, soon no extra, one pace opened 2/1 I'd like too see the place lays on the exchange ![]() |
