You talk one loada shyte mate!!! You did not lay that horse. If you did you would not have started the thread and you would have mentioned your lay earlier. Why would you get so mad when you have just laid a loser??

roy i aint defending him..but the next race he looked in a hopeless position and won.

Ruby Walsh is the best jumps jockey around. It is that simple. No wonder he thinks most punters are muppets...
|
|
By:
Roy - I'd just duck out of this if I were you mate - no way you're going to get your point over.
|
|

And the huge difference from the losing ride and the winning ride
In the home straight on the winner, he went wide to get a clear run on the loser he went to the inside rail and ran up the arses of the other horses |

Ruby Walsh not trying in a Grade 1.....I love this forum ok ted you're defending your son...answer why he went in between runners late on? |
|
By:
Correct Roida

|
By:
Yeah...I'm really Ted Walsh
. Lads, yer starting to get a bit embarassing here. Ruby Walsh is a master of his profession. He was riding a one raced novice in a Grade 1 and 4f out probably thought "I'm not gonna win" so what do you want him to do? Batter it to life up the run in? So much fuss when you never even bet it? Of course you never |
|
By:
Towards rear, not jump well, moderate 6th approaching 2 out, some headway and not much room early straight, moderate 4th from before last, soon no extra, one pace
This is what the formbook says. Beat 14 lengths in 4th. Note - "not jump well" |
|
By:
Give us a loan of your boyylesports and skybet accounts roy and roida eh? You obviously have one
|
|
By:
You've still not answered why he ran the horse up the @rses of the others in the home straight?
|
|
By:
I doubt you are Ted Walsh, nobody in their right mind would admit to it , even the man himself. Fewer would admit to being you.I don't need to prove my betting habits to the likes of you, clear as they are to all who know me. I just don't like cheats. When I overtake, I go outside, NOT over the cars in front of me!

JamesD. Best to avoid antagonistical cretins like Collector. Probably spends all day trawling social media and watching JK!

thecollector..
you're saying it had no right to be fav or win? did u lay it pre race? |
|
By:
I didn't lay it but Evilroy did so I ask him to post his bet?
|
|
By:
I didn't say it had no right to be fav or to win. I am making the point that he had it all to do on the formbook and after 1 novice run going into Grade 1 company ran as expected.

So...you obviously agreed with me that the step up to Grade 1 would have been too much for the horse as you laid it?
Is that correct? ![]() |

And thanks for removing the £2 figures.

I lay most favourites that have at least three or four worthy opponents. The drift on this was also a factor. During the race I had the opportunity to cash out, making a decent profit, and did so. I then sat back and watched as Walsh sat motionless. I saw 10's on offer and threw a bit on at that price. I could do so as my profit was more than enough to allow for it. Walsh appeared to have a load of horse beneath him. I was glad I had cashed out when I did. I then watched him do everything he could to cause trouble for the horse! He did so without even trying to hide it! It deserves a ban.HE deserves a ban. I made money, I layed it. I might have made even more backing it at tens. I don't care. I am happy with ANY profit. Nobody EVER gets skint taking even the smallest profit. I therefore started the thread based on the evidence of my own eyes. Seems the vast majority agree with my summation. Defend him all you will, but don't tell me that was a trier. I would rather base my conclusion on what I saw. As for him being the best NH jockey ever, (according to some), I think any jockey worth two bob would have given that a better ride, IF TRYING THEIR BEST.

By:
£2? Last time I had two quid on a horse it was ridden by Fred Winter.
|

By:
My summary would be as follows.
The horse was priced up partly on connections rather than form so some sort of drift wasn't a huge surprise, though it was an unusually rapid drifter to the point it caught the eye. Contrary to the tactics when successful last time out, Walsh had the horse anchored in last for no obvious reason. Didn't jump great as said above. His body language in the straight didn't look great and dragging the horse into trouble behind horses was odd. Hard to be confident that the horse could have finished any better than third at a push. Did it look like a trier? Not to me. |

Some craic Irish racing is when you have leading yard sending out non joggers in grade 1 races. Nothing will be said or done about it though. If it was a small yard the book would be thrown at them. Same story when horse is not off. Out the back poor jumping jockey that never moves his body over an obstacle like a jack in a box over the obstacles ,let the front few off 10 lengths make a bit of effort and finish just to look like effort was made . Stacking em up this year. Battleford,Madurai,The Crafty Butcher,Invitation Only,Riven Light and it will keep happening.Today was a special one as it would definitely have been placed which wasn't wanted .So it had to run into the back of horses to prevent that. Look at the effort up the straight in the follow race. Tells you all you need to know didn't go looking for a wall of horses that time.

just watched again...im a big ruby fan...no-one better on his day...the 1st thing to bear in mind is the big late drift...if you knew the form did add up to much you wouldnt need to wait till nearer the off to lay it...he had it out the back and it didnt jump cleanly at a few hurdles...after 3 out it was visually still going ok but tfrom here to the last he made little attempt to get much closer...then jumping the last he decides to duck inside toward the rail...very strange.
In his defence it looked out on its feet up the run in..certainly didnt look full of running. |
|
By:
I backed this horse and I pretty much agree with what thecollector has said. No better jockey than Walsh. Agree with the others that the horse wasn't in the best position but you could see before the turn that Ruby wasn't happy a couple lengths off the leaders and niggling a bit. From there though especially just before the last you could see the horse was legless though and would never have got in the frame regardless of the ride....

"Irish racing is infested with vermin"
Or at least that's what's the rats say!!! That was too blatant, if a lower rank jockey did it he'd have the licence taken off him. And then they had Meta Osborne $hitting on about how straight irish racing is!!! they haven't figured out what sauce WPM/AOB are giving the ponies |

nothing wrong with ride IMO, the winner had easily the better form of the two having been placed 2nd in a grade 1 LTO

well sedd roadrunner...must have laid plenty?

only bet on the AW and flat races, more than likely thats why the horse drifted, the other horse had the better proven form.

Ruby often looks in trouble on Mullins horses 2 out to my eye, but most of the time wins because he knows the horses inside out.
They all cant win and the race was competitive. |
