Again on the BBC polticis show this morning the BBC interviewer McNeil is directly asking the question about our border control.
They are purposefully moving the question to an area where people have to be careful about seeming unsympathetic and racist. He should be asking this politician why he and his colleagues from both parties are importing cheap labour to increase profits of their multinational paymasters. Massive decption going on it is like a magician creating a distraction while the real business end of the trick is going on where nobody is looking. |
By:
It is doomed to failure anyway, no empire grows forever. Better we begin the end and get out while we can. The Dutch, French and others are demanding referendums if we leave.

By:
Lord Haw Haw would be proud of the BBC in their deceptive misdirection of the public away from the real reason the politicians want us in the EU and we are paying a license fee for them to bring us down. Too many public schoolies at the BBC as well the class system ruins this country from the top.

Not just the beeb Eric, LBC takes some beating for propaganda, and as for C4 news, well........

Cameron has arranged for Obama to come over just before the vote and peddle his own countries self-interests for the uk staying in.
The working man has zero chance in the uk. No way would the States allow another country to determine their laws and lifestyles there would be mayhem over there if he was proposing this to his people. |
By:
Expecting Obama to open his borders to Mexico as soon as he gets back home and allow their Supreme Court to be overruled by someone else .. Ha ha NOT
By:
States is like a mini europe already with individual states setting many of their own laws and taxation
By:
TheVis that is the opposite of what we are getting which is not individual states (countries in the EU) deciding their own laws but a Federal Superstate deciding for all of us and overruling localised member state laws. That is not Democracy at work.
By:
The problems at FIFA will be childs play compared to the decisions governing our lives from Brussels in the future when our national laws are eroded and multinationals offer bribes to the Brussels politicians there to screw the working man over for the benefits of the rich.

At the previous referendum I voted to stay out and every election since apart from the last one when I did a tactical vote to be rid of our Lib Dem MP I have voted for whoever the anti European candidate was.
Immigration is too high now and unbelievably Turkey even with its internal troubles will soon be allowed in. I'm not religious but religion is the thing that is changing Europe from Christianity to the backward dominated Muslim I have visited Mosques in the UK and in Muslim countries in the past and theirs was then led by gentle educated people. Now the extremists have been allowed to dominate it. Unlike 1939 our enemy is not confined to one country but is now within all of Europe. |

2/5 can this favourite not be nobbled?
By:
If we can get a banner on every bus in the country with the real question that should be answered by politicians so everyone knows what the real game is then nobbling would be a possibility. Dont expect help from the BBC in publicising it though.
You have to attack the cause not the effect OldGit. They want you to talk about the effect as it brings racism, their favourite weapon for shutting people up to the fore. The cause, ask them about the cause which is politicians being paid via party funds and promises of positions on boards of multinationals in return for cheap labour from the EU. |

Eric:
Americans are patriots (have guns)and respect their flag, we are being brainwashed by the Left to be ashamed of our country, its history and traditions. I sometimes think that our National Anthem is partly to blame as most do not want to stand for the Queen or sing it. As a kid if anyone tried to leave a cinema or theatre when it was playing at the end of the performance you would be taken to task. I was glad to see the other day that Belgium celebrate Waterloo Day and despite being the centre of our EU oppression still show gratitude for our help in two World Wars unlike the other countries. |
By:
Much more to the point is the access to very highly paid jobs in EU quangos which many ex MP's get. I would rather trust Sep Blatter and his gang than the EU commission.
By:
Oldgit1 you are correct that part of living in the uk is accepting the traditions of those already here. You should never be ashamed to sing a national anthem wherever you are in the world. There was a left wing agenda of multiculturism running alongside their aid to their party contributors with New Labour. The Tories are only interested in doing what their party paymasters want motivated purely by greed and will do anything to achieve that at a cost to 'us' no matter what colour or creed.
There will always be immigration. The working man of whatever creed or colour in the uk is the person being annihilated here and membership of the EU is contributing to it. Lets all ask politicians about the cause and put them where they need to be, on the spot trying to explain their corruption and greed in bed with their multinational tax evading, cheap labour demanding criminals. It is probably too late to demand political party campaigns are funded by the tax payer now. We would save billions in corrupt tax avoidance and remove part of their corruption of politicians in the process. It wouldnt however stop the promises of jobs for the boys on boards in future. We will be finding out in the EU all about bungs as multinational companies go to work in Brussels and the working man all over the EU, not just in the UK, will be at their mercy in bung city. |

It is all spin and scaremongering.
I was listening to a radio programme aimed at youngsters and the "expert" on the matter was implying that a leave vote could make it more difficult for british teenagers to holiday in Ibiza or Greece, etc. Totally unfounded claims but had the teenagers panicking. ! |
By:
The Referendum is a total waste of time and money as the result will be we stay in Europe. It seems to me that the real people who want to leave are generally the older generation who have time to waste posting on forums and writing letters (emails) to newspapers perhaps remembering how life used to be through rose tinted glasses. On the other hand the young see Europe as their future and whilst they can't be bothered to vote in general elections this is different as every vote counts and they will vote in boatloads to stay in. We who are closer to the end of life than the beginning should stop and think whether or not we have the right to decide the next generation's future. In my view it would be entirely selfish to turn back time and vote out.
By:
The double whammy is you wont be able to stop this because guess what, your democratic right to vote in the people who run your own country is being overruled by faceless euro MP's who couldnt care less about a steelworks in the north of england.
By:
Eric:
I used to make most of my flights abroad with Sabena from Edinburgh via Brussels. The planes were always full of Eurocrats. I once sat next to a Euro MP who introduced himself and unasked by me gave me a run down on his perks and benefits that he and his family made the most of. That particular day he boasted that (like our House of Lords) he was only going to show his face and Pass Go and collect a fistful of Euros. Much of what he said was later investigated when he and others got away with their abuses of the system and at one time he was the Scottish Socialist candidate to be President of the European Parliament. With over 20 year service he must have done well for himself and will soon be on a good pension. |
By:
To Be fair anyone with kids who arent Oxbridge bound needs to worry about their future as they are going to be worse off with less rights and smaller pensions and wages than their parents.
By:
Well to be honest if you can import steel cheaper than making it here then go for it.Heavy industry was this country's past not its present or future.
By:
Posy... what are the benefits for the Young and future generations?
By:
Yes OldGit it will be the place to be for MP freebies for sure in future as well and we wont be able to democratically get rid of them. The Barons who brought King John to task had an easy task to enforce the rights of ordinary people compared to us trying to do the same with Bung City, Brussels.
By:
posy..those with power who cannot be brought to account by those they rule will generally be open to corruption from those who can benefit from those who are ruled. That is why we can vote them out to prevent such corruption and to keep those in power honest.
That is what you are going to see the hard way as democracy is going to become a word of the past as we move deeper into a federal EU superstate open to corruption from greedy multinationals looking for ever increasing profits. EuroMP's are far less accountable than local MP's walking around doors and being told by us face to face to sort their act out or we will vote them out. |

Oldgit the benefit is the freedom of movement to live and work in whichever country takes their fancy. My daughter for example lives and works in Italy and although she earns little she has a far higher standard of living in a nicer climate than she would be able to afford over here.Add to that the fact that the Common Market/EEC/EU has strengthened the ties between Germany and France to the extent that a war between them is now inconceivable.Apart from a few minor wars in the Balkans and Cyprus there has been peace for over 70 years so what's not to like.
Getting out of Europe will result in a fall in value of the pound, rampant inflation, higher unemployment and the overriding risk of a Labour government taking us back to the 1970s. I'm retired ,I imagine you are too why risk your standard of living by voting out.To me it just doesn't make sense. |
By:
Ok posy so your daughter has a great life in Italy which is fantastic. She would still have achieved that if she wanted to if we were not in the EU.
It is all about democracy which protects the working classes. Without it we are done and work slaves to the rich with little reward. |
By:
I'm not a great fan of Democracy ;in fact I think it's very over rated as very often it's an excuse for not getting things done. A third runway at Heathrow and HS2 are both victims of democracy...for God's sake just get on and build them and compensate the people who are in the way.

Freedom Posy. To decided our laws and way of life. Countries will not stop those they want from coming in. I worked for a company that needed system analysts and programmers. Lots of young Aussies and Kiwis worked for us they only wanted to stay for a couple of years but were only allowed short term Visas and they kept on having to spend a day lining up at Croydon to get them renewed.
What will you do when the Euro finally collapses as it surely will. France is weak compared to Germany and how long will the German people want to continue supporting countries that should never been allowed into the Big Boys Club? Peace too is not guaranteed now within countries far less between them. The Balkan wars were not minor if you count the dead and the ethnic cleansing. I've met Mercenaries who fought there and even in Africa they had not come up against such viscous fighting and 'tribal hatred' Many of the atrocities there were carried out by Neo Nazis. |
By:
The Balkan Wars were every bit as atrocious as Nazi Germany with horrific crimes on the same scale. I do think that we are less at risk of a visible enemy and more at risk of the invisible terrorists who can operate from within. This is a separate question the EU will have to solve.
The main question we need to hit the politicians with is ... as already mentioned. |

eric/kirk/auntypost etc etc.
A very good opening post, unfortunately your dogmatic and flawed logic and marathon posts that Best Mate was the best NH horse of all time tends to undermine your credibility. But good luck with this project. |
By:
You forgot ybm.

By:
Arkle was the best nh horse of all time. My unaccepted argument was that Best Mate was a better Gold Cup horse than Kauto Star. Contentious but i still believe of the two around the Gold Cup trip on good ground I would back Best Mate. Kempton it would be Kauto Star every time. Interesting debates at a time when Henrietta Knight began the unpopular trend of keeping her horse prepared for the big days, something that Paul Nicholls benefitted from without the same backlash.
Anyway not sure why you are talking about horses on a horse racing forum this is a politics thread :) |
By:
I would't dream of posting on the Politics forum Eric, a lot of lunatics imo.
By:
just been on the politics forum, they fancy the fav in the 2-55
By:
Also at the time Henrietta Knight was not asking Best Mate to carry heavy weights in handicaps as the likes of Dessie and other greats of the past had. The racing press were furious at this approach at the time and the handicapper also refused to give him a good rating as a result. We didnt know it at the time but that was the start of the modernisation of campaigning of the very top racehorses.
Who expects the likes of Don Cossack, Cue Card, Vautour, Annie Power, Faugheen, to carry 12/ 13st and a higher risk of injury in a handicap now with a chance of missing the Championship race? Paul Nicholls and Willie Mullins have Hen Knight to thank for breaking the mould. |
By:
Posy the young will not thank us when they look back and see we had the chance to escape from the Eu when they **** it up like they have with the Euro.
By:
I would't dream of posting on the Politics forum Eric, a lot of lunatics imo.
Yes you stick to posting on here kevo with the rest of the name callers. |
By:
So why isn't hen still breaking the mould?. Hadn't Nicky already broken the mould with See You Then.... 3 championship wins in a very light campaign?. Not the greatest champion hurdle winner, but he did manage to turn up 3 times and win it.
By:
Chasers were expected to carry weights to earn their rating back then imo. Best Mate was the first Champion to break the mould.
There have been exceptions of course as discussed at the time some horses have a better confirmation for carrying weight than others. A brick outhouse like Denman the Tank could carry weight far more easily than an athletic agile type like Kauto Star. Nicholls knew this so would ask Denman to carry weight but not Kauto. Same with Best Mate he didnt have the strong conformation of a Denman so was campaigned by Hen accordingly. It incurred massive wrath at the time and my defence of it was unpopular at the time. |
