Two from Plumpton

I think Like Sully has been given his best chance by the handicapper in the 2.10 - getting shorter every time I look at it, slightly embarrassing at the odds now, but could go favourite if the other two drift out.

He's lightly raced for an 8 year old under rules, just the 11 starts, and only 2 over fences. He's been struggling a bit since winning a novice hurdle around here back in January last year, but he's dropped 19lb in the process, and I think he ran his most encouraging race to date at Towcester LTO, which was just his 2nd start over fences.

He shaped a lot better than his finishing position, but the race looked decent for Towcester standards, with the winner - Waldorf Salad - winning again NTO at Taunton off 7lb higher, and he also ran a cracker at Chelt on Saturday off 15lb higher. LS has been dropped 3lb, gets heavy ground again (which he won his novice hurdle on), and a drop in to a 0-105 will really help being against lesser horses.

American Life in the 2.45 - Around 13/2

A horse who sparked an amazing return to form with the first time visor (and money) when winning at Haydock over 23f in late December. He had the race won at the beginning of the back straight, it was pretty ridiculous.

For some reason, they ran him again just 24 hours later. I know he appeared to win easy, but all that travelling everywhere, let alone running in the race, that must of taken something out of him. He was duly beat. They then ran out of time to find another 3 mile race to run him in before his new mark took place, and he ended up over 16f at Towcester. I know it's a stiff track, but the distance was far too short. He actually travelled better than I thought he would, but once the race quickened up, he was a bit one paced, and found himself in a bad position, he still ran a cracker to get up for 3rd.

Tomorrow he's back at 3 miles again. He's only 7lb higher than the Haydock win, the magic visor is still retained, and he will get his terrible ground - he's never won a race over jumps on ground better described as 'soft'.

Probably won't even be on, sounds like a few drops of rain and the speed boats will be around the track.

I appreciate the well wishes though, thank you.
