Another thing re this 'if it's over a head you won't get it' idea. So if you get a bad bump and lose a head you get it. But if you get a bump that costs you half a length, the distance you lose by, tough luck? Ludicrous.

the 2nd lost as much ground veering across track as winner..it DID not cost the 2nd the race.
