wondersobrightwhere is it stated that the jumps season ends in may?i'm not saying you are wrong but have never seen this mentioned anywhere, i assumed it was the end of april, ie when the jockey/trainers champions are decided and the new ones begin?with regards the fixtures, it just seems daft having a flat race every 5-10 mins some days 5 or 6 domestic meetings and then none at all on a sunday with 3 jumps meets. The winter is the official time for the aw championship and of course there is no turf flat racing at all for months then whereas jumps fixtures are throughout the year.I don't think people asking for a domestic flat meeting at the end of may is unreasonable!

cheers Darlo what i thought, just wondered if i wasn't aware of something.
For some strange reason, I always thought that Sedgefield happened to be the first jumps meet of the season, so your post intrigued me to find the real answer.
