The "reduction charge" on here is a disgrace.
Report Big Boss May 21, 2015 2:09 PM BST

Would happily settle for 10p in the £ deduction

My BF winnings reduced (decimated more accurately) from £135 to £83.07.

About 5 years ago I complained that the reduction factors here were wrong ,and I was asked if I would help
to come up with a better solution along with some others wanting the same thing. I said I would assist ,but
5 years later still haven't heard anything .Just about sums Betfair up.

I find it worse though when ( not in this case)  it affects the place market. You can back a horse to finish in the three, say one is withdrawn late on, your horse wins or finishes second. The withdrawn horse would only have REALLY have affected the third place runner but you still get a reduced return!

I had exactly the same Blunder. They are blatanty wrong but no one in betfair seems to care! When one is pulled out especially against a short favourite it becomes a minefield.
Report sparrow May 21, 2015 2:26 PM BST
The layers on here would be up in arms if they changed it to suit the backers.
Report blunder May 21, 2015 2:51 PM BST
It shouldn't be changed to favour the backers ,it should be altered to be a fairer result for both, than is currently the case.Using
Rule 4 as your guide is a non starter, that works for a different model.

Could have been worse - Betfred's Tote paid a jaw-dropping  win dividend of 1.1
