Went Wednesday.
Respect to the bookies past the winning line in tatts. Asked for Place only odds,NO RED CARD. 5/1 Place only 20/1 1/4 16+ runners. Still got the tickets.     Top day.  |

Was at Cheltenham first 3 days in the Tattersalls seats and the first few bookies were not taking any bets but still shortening Douvan and L ami serge.
Sent someone down to bet Douvan at 2/1 came back with 15/8 the Ladbrokes shop had it at 2/1 so had more on with them.spent the next 3 days just betting with Ladbrokes in shop and coral on mobile better offers and better odds |

was at chelt all 4 days.
It seemed the bookies just shortened virtually everything (common at Aintree). Not a lot seemed to drift to compensate. Online bookies going 1/4 the odds all races and lots of extra places in the big handicaps, as well as other offers to. I went to the ladbrooks shop first 2 days but was so rammed couldn't be bothered the last 2 days. Fortunately 4g worked great at the course so did most of my bets there using 1 online bookie even when no offers on the race bar the 1/4odds, as where the same odds as oncourse or bigger. Think I only placed 3 bets oncourse, they were just out of laziness and I brought cash to bet with. Its a shame as I like using oncourse bookies when I go as it adds to part of the experience . But their prices, place terms and offers just don't make it viable anymore. |

my take was 20% up on Tuesday , 10% up on Wednesday , 10% up on Thursday , but 10% down on Friday compared to last year.
the four short priced ones on Tuesday the obvious reason can't speak about the £ 2 punters as I'm £ 5 minimum |

Coach load I was on all went to lads in the Cent/bar.
Took them sometimes 10 mins to get served. The boards were closer when we watched the race on the screens.  Opened there eyes when I brought back a 5/1 PLACE only slip from a board. They had the view bookies don't do PLACE ONLY.  Nothing on the boards about PLACE ONLY. Went round myself had to ask for Place only. Think you might find the coach load punters would be more interested in a 4/1 + odds about a horse to finish in the places then a 25/1 + winner. Only if you "point them that way"  They all do the placepot. Cheering on there horse to finish Placed. |
