i think all ruby's mates told him how great he was when he slapped banks down last time they were on together & he thought he could repeat the feet this morning.
the problem was there was no real reason to do it today so there was no humour in his attempted barbs and he just came over as a bit grumpy & unnecessarily rude. |

Millhouse,
Paris, RUK exists to perpetuate propaganda and industry protectionism - without the presenters and pundits there would be no room to take the money for the PR. As far as RUK is concerned we aren't the customers - we are the product it is selling... I can largely agree with your first paragraph; not so sure about the second. Surely the constituency of RUK subscribers comprise racing professionals and committed racing lovers, some professional punters and some watching the sport because we love it and hope to eek out a small profit by hard work and observation? Such a group is hardly likely to be fooled by the PR spin merchants are they? So what is the point? |

millhouse is articulate yet remains to grind his axe forever to fell the unrootable tree. imo.
I'd like to know what kind of sustainable racing show millhouse would appreciate! Like it or not, the whole visual show is far more transparent than it was 20 years ago. |

is it not paul Morrison you are thinking of?
|
|
By:
au contraire saxon farm!
It's more visual but definitely less transparent! |

CJ,thanks, thats his name, and boy does he know his stuff,i think paul and david are great when they get together.if they don't give the winner they will tell you want won't win.

Yes, I know what you mean! Before RUK ATR The Racing Channel etc, I occasionally subscribed to timeform, raceform etc as a working man 95% of races could not be seen. At least now, I can witness any race I please without input from the aforementioned. Saying that I do enjoy listening to the thoughts of Mellish & Neesom. |

Those two are among my "honourable exceptions" saxon farm; we are of similar mind!

the tip that is coming out of the mullins camp for Cheltenham is DOUVAN.all the staff were told if anybody asks for a tip give them douvan(think that's the name 13/8 shot).
That's why Ruby,Willie, and all connected give it on the radio and tv interviews ,but it will win,its just that it keeps all the other certs from getting cut in price.but the real power horses are not talked about. ![]() |

Nowt wrong with Ruby its punters they don't understand horses, training, and the game..
|
|
By:
presenter Moore Marrion
commentator Stanley Unwin ring Harpo Marks what could possibly go wrong |
|
By:
you never really expected Ruby to confirm the obvious do you? Faugheen.. Thought I should ask anyway, and about Vautour. Most sporting stars, and he is a star in his game, prefer soft balls rolled at them. But it gets dull.. 'what's your best horse/ride etc
Nice to see people engaged in the show - producers getting the balance right imo |

Getting it right? Viewing figures lower week on week, 150,000 but 2million Australia/england

Maybe they should bring the Bismarck back! More profitable than pricewise. (Backing that is)
