bigfield i could tell you numerous stories of blokes i work with...

treat money with absolute distain...have tens of thousands one minute and nowt the next...problem is they aint learnt anything..soon as they have a losing bet it must be won back before the close of play.

Fortunately Willie I have learnt my lesson, used to be a bad gambler but can happily say I only use this site now and am £750 in profit since registering my new card with it a few months back, am in my mid twenties and when I started betting horses aged 20 or so I loved an evens shot. These days it's about the value. We live and learn, at least some of us do :D
That's what I like about this place, some like minded people and it encourages us to be smart with our betting.

I say a few months back I mean last month, but I know how it comes and goes in cycles so need to wait to have had the card registered with this place for a good 12 months to get a true reflection on whether my betting is really profitable long-term.

You win many Cheltenham gold cups Willie, no I thought not . And considering you spend your whole life betting in running it's unlikely that situation is ever going to change . The  only reason people do that is that they weren't capable of winning pre race, so maybe you ain't quite as clever as you think you are .
I know people that have won fortunes gambling but they don't feel the need to blow their trumpet on this stupid forum, and it's a hell of a lot more than the Mickey Mouse money you deal in Willie.
So when you are posting your P&L Willie, it's you are the one who is embarrassing himself .
I think most people would have Harry over you, any day of the week.
As the soccer supporters say Willie " who are you ?"

Bankruptcy
At a meeting of his creditors on 8th July 2013 at Warwick County Court, Harry Findlay was declared bankrupt. It wasn’t the first time; he had been declared bankrupt 20 years earlier in Scotland which is why he had sold his house. A complete cycle had been completed, and all he could do was move on.

doesntmatter says this didnt happen.

Not sure how anyone can be sued on an allegedly anonymous forum..

If my identity was ever revealed then the sh i te would really hit the fan...

homefortea - I'm almost sure there's precedence here. Nobody is truly anonymous now. You're accountable for your posts and anyone that thinks differently is very naive. Do you think Betfair would protect you from potentially damaging litigation?

The world has changed when it comes to on line and the Bercow case is a very relevant example.

to say that harry findlay is not "clever " is way wide of the mark ,sure he has made mistakes and had some bad luck as well along the way but to go from " had £65 left in his pocket to betting in thousands and some instances hundreds of thousands and owning many racehorses including a cheltenham gold cup winner takes  some brains and know how ,either that or he hit the most incredible run of "luck known to man ever ! more like  supreme confidence **** /bottle and know how imo   seems to me watching the vids harry had bundles of it !
. i hope harrys book is a best seller and he makes bundles and comes back into the game all guns blazing ...........good luck with it harry ,legend of the game

terry or harry to have got to where they have been cant have been daft ,and both have had substantial wealth  and the rewards that go with it ,top racehorses and have lived the life , any gamblers saying they would not have wanted some of that ?
