Not interested in that..its history..anyway, why take it away from a trainer that knows the horse inside out.
It Would have got the penalty anyway, but won with the proverbial in hand, the penalty wont stop it tomorrow..

^ Because he cost the owner a big prize (when training fees are hardly cheap) furthermore the horse has gone up a stone in the rating's due to trainer error .....it is hardly surpriseing that you Koi who does not pay the bills is not interested in that !

What i don't understand is how it can be upped in weights when the race was void on his part.Either he keeps the race and weights go up or he is disqualified and remains on same mark. Its unfair to raise him and disq him at same time.

Like I said, the horse would have got the penalty anyway... taking the horse to another trainer is a bit extreme because of an oversite...if the BHA had done their job the horse would not have been allowed to run.. happens regularly with hunters with the amount of prize money they have won in rules races... ie too much to qualify for a hunter...the bha seem to find those.
Its just one of those things,, Mulholland will want to put things right tomorrow..

^ Is that not what you pay the trainer for who pays his secetary to ensure the relevant horse meets the requirements of said race ?

effectively this horse has been clobbered twice. Ran in a race it couldn't win and gone up 14lbs in the ratings.Surely this should still be running off 130?

TBF saxon, it was a very competitive race last time and it routed them, another step up the ladder here, but I think it will take it in its stride..
Having followed the horse, maybe I am a bit biased, but it does look to be the improver in this line up....

like koi ive been a huge fan of this horse for a long while ive had some of my biggest bets on it and some of my biggest wins .i have friends who have connection with the stable and they are going to the races today.as yet i havnt spoken to them but its likely i shall later .Before we speak i must say the horse winning last time was to my uneducated eyes and im not taking into account weight or any other factor the most impressive winner of the year . Of course my bet on it coloured my view . The bit about not being qualified is to me totally irrelavent it won me a substntial amount of cash ,of course if i had punted the second i might feel slighty different .... i have backed it already and if i get a positive word later i can assure y i shall again ... if i dont i might lay off some of my present bet ,,, but i think its a decent animal

Hurdles and fences are totally different, i have seen many a horse improve no end for a fence, this looks another.
Agree its all about opinions, a race to look forward to.

Should go the Gloria Victus route - Racing Post Chase (or whatever they call it these days) at Kempton in February (probably off top weight) and if he wins that go for the Gold Cup or Ryanair.

Glossy, you seem a tad peeved, no one is saying its a Gold cup horse at the moment, but who knows in the future maybe 2016/17... the horse is improving at a rate of knots and is still a youngster.
Houblon was on the outside most of the way ALONG with The Young master.... Houblon is an out and out stayer who lacks a bit of pace, was caught a bit flat footed when they quickened..it also hit a few... No matter how it was ridden yesterday, it would still not have beaten The young Master as it just didnt have the pace to go with it...
