TIMEFORM:Good To Firm
Racing Post: Good To Soft (good in places)
TurfTrax: Soft

Well done, boyos

Happens a lot Shapey. Should be ashamed of themselves.

All boast being an authority.  Turftrax in charge of the stick.

There is 'competition' in the data markets these days.

Timeform had some races at Lingfield listed as standard when only the last three were on standard, the day starting on turf.

Best is when you email and point it out, no response and they don't change them.

Yet they charge subscriptions for the information and through PR each boast the best in the business.

Two years ago, i used my own speed ratings and enter my own, especially when you see conditions (i.e. "soft in places", etc).

Timeform: "their own read"
Haydock: the "Going for our fixture on 12 June was Good to Soft. Going Stick: 7.8"

Racing Post is closest, certainly not the other descriptions.

Trying to make sense of going/times at Haydock is beyond me. Historical descriptions/going stick calculations show http://maps.turftrax.co.uk/iframe/goingstickarchive.asp?courseid=23 there isn't much correlation. Times certainly seemed fairly quick compared to the official description, but don't know how accurate the published distances were.

^ There are TWO Flat courses at Haydock, nowadays -

So, surely, TWO sets of Standard tomes are needed.

Additionally - in Winter, the have Switched the now Portable Fences from the Chase Course to the DIFFERENT Hurdle Course.

The classic example of that scenario 'cocking up the clock' came with Cue Card's, apparently easy, 3m 1f mile success.Happy
