all i can say is this guy must have the best manager in the business...

some people on this thread have hardly posted in years, shows how poor he is.

What a sickening dose he is to listen to. No originality..........the same old cliches time and time again. The channels will have to take account eventually of the viewing public......one hopes! |
By:
V few on ATR you could tolerate listening to at all in fact
By:
The conversation he and the presenter had about the stewards enquiry into the 3.20 at Worcester was boring beyond belief.
By:
Nice bloke, but adds little to the coverage. Putting him on The Form Factor is just taking the p*ss.

Mick quit while your winning on the plus side you was a very very good jockey ..respect man ,

The English guy who does American racing on a Tuesday night (Daryl?) is Beachey Head material. Mick Fitz - good jockey but crap commentator. The whole channel is crap - its 7 seconds behind live and yet its got the live tag on the screen. I've not watched the race at Donney, Newc, Leic, Windsor, Rippon, Brighton - they are just gaffe tracks.Leave ATR well alone and good luck with your punting.

SIGNED. I just switch off now when he's on. Brings absolutely nothing interesting to the table and never did. All the bull shlT throw away comments. Cliche after cliche. Every maiden winner has a promising future and was ridden by one of the nicest jockeys in the weighing room you could wish to meet. Every handicapped winner was found an ideal opportunity by one of the shrewdest yards in the business. Every graded or group winner is trained by a master of his profession. Follows the market like a sheep and constantly mentions that his selection is solid in the exchanges. Mick you've had a good run of it now please please politely PISS OFF our screens you absolute chancer. And I don't buy what people say about him being a great jockey. Worked for a top top stable which has never had as much success than in the last 4 years. How long is Fitzgerald retired? Also, name me another top jockey who would of knocked Remittance Man. One of the best jumpers of a fence ever.Same as most jockeys, gave some great rides but had his fair share of bad days too. I've nothing against the man and never had anything against him as a jockey but seriously Mr Fitz is taking the Mick! I think the fact that he's big friends with McCoy and Henderson surely works in his favour. Bad media man but we'll liked by the right people man.

By:
Mick is a mind of information, look out for when one of his brother-in-laws horses is running he always lets viewers know the score.............
Great bloke imo, fantastic horseman and an even better pundit..... |

Could it be that it is because Mick,s Irish, nobody talks more c--p than Muppettoft but he has a nice English accent, then you have "the Cat" er majesty this er majesty that he couldn,t tip a bucket of p--s out the window but fawns over everybody,he also is completely hopeless with his selections, get a grip lads.
By:
Barney I'm Irish and I can safely say Fitzgerald is up there with the worse of them. Dreadful.
By:
Sean Boyce is Irish, so is Bob Cooper, Matt Chapman is thick enough to be Irish and I'm Irish, detest Fitzgerald for his uselessness as a presenter and I cannot abide his voice and accent. F.F.s nobody speaks like that in Ireland.

agree with the above , brings nothing , would be lost without the Racing Post form and spotlight , in his early day's he was forever spouting "Tharrrr yerrr go" he managed to drop his addiction to saying that , now just needs to drop himself ....

Good jockey - rubbish.Joevalue absolutely right.
Very average jockey, as the success of the Henderson stable since he retired proves. |

Yesterday we had Gibson speaking eloquently and very informative.
Today we have........(add your message) |
By:
"eloquently & informatively" ????
The man wouldnt know objectivity if it waddled up & bit him on the @rse Cannot stand listening to his sickeningly self-serving clipped Estuary English & his 'holier than thou' image he's foisting on us after spending years as Spittin Mick's go to 'get em ready' jockey..... As bad as Fitzgerald imo |

Mick says "Jockeys are all after the same thing , to get to the winning post before anyone else" ...... well F me i would never of guessed .
By:
Simple solution--turn the sound off in between races if you don't like the presenter. If you depend on them for punting info then you shouldn't be betting. If you decide to listen don't moan about it!!!
By:
Did he really appear on the form factor?
I assumed people were fishing. Hugh Taylor must have been pi55ing himself. |
By:
He only gave an opinion on which apprentice or conditional jocks to follow.

By:
i would never of guessed .
You can't take somebody seriously who says this. It is have guessed. |

jim mcgrath doesn't even reply to him half wit comments half the time...must have the best manager in the business this guy imo coupled with persad
