CONER,
Why is there an investigation into your account (if you can disclose it on here)? If you have made some winning bets surely they wll just restrict you or close you down, an 8 month investigation seems ridiculous if it is just about your betting? Get in contact with a journalist if you are completely in the right, and write to their CEO demanding a full explanation within 7 days imo. No offence but if you have only gone through their live chat and customer service I am not sure what you expect to achieve - as most are completely clueless and just follow screen instructions. |
|
By:
I love the way any operator on live chat, starts almost every sentence, with "Rest Assured...."
Phew, we can all breathe easy now |
|
By:
All these threads illustrate the futility of contacting live chat or customer service when theres a serious account problem. These people know nothing about betting & are employed simply to fob off the customer in any way possible, might as well save your breath.

Feb 10 to gsharpe DEAR MR SHARPE. I have account with williamhill with over 5000 pounds in. For 6 mounths your firm has refused to let me withdraw any money. saying i am under investigation,at one time you allowed me to bet,but not withdraw, whitch i found rather odd from such a big firm as william hill. As i always thought if you can not win you can not lose. after i pointed this out to your customer service my account was locked. All i ever get is you are under investigation, fair enough but 6 mounths seems a very long time .Could you please give me some indication as to how long it will take. |

Mar 20 to me Mr Miles. I do not wish to appear unsympathetic, but my department does not have sufficient resources to handle enquiries of this nature, and I can only suggest you follow the matter up with the Customer Service department at support@williamhill.com gs |

Hi my partner is not very happy with williamhill, when you had the instant cash out button he could win at football for a change. Then you stopped the instant part and made it 8 seconds delay. He could not seem to win then so he went to withdraw his funds.YOUR COMPANY has stopped him from being able to withdraw, but he can still bet,i think this is so wrong, its been going on for about 6 weeks now can you help,he has told me we can have xmas in tenerife if you release his money.--THANKS December 6, 2013 William Hill 12/6, 1:17pm William Hill I'm sorry to hear of the trouble your partner has had with his account. The best way to go about it is for him to give our Customer Services Team a call on 08000856296. I'm sure they can help. Regards |

Thanks for reply,my partner has been in touch on plenty of occasions, but they say its out of there control, and he just has to wait until william hill check him out,but they still let him bet on the account, but like i said if he loses you keep his money but if he wins he can not withdraw,so you still keep his money. Not really fair is it,this has been goining on since you brought the 8 second delay in.About 2 mounths ago,how long would you think we have to wait,to be able to withdraw our own money.---thank you.
December 9, 2013 William Hill 12/9, 3:36pm William Hill If your partner could supply a username we can take a look at the account. We're not able to talk about his account with you though. The security checks are in place for your protection and if you supply the information that has been requested then it usually takes no longer than a couple of days. December 11, 2013 |

CONER - They cannot just keep over 5k without a proper explanation. What are you being investigated about, have they told you? Demand an answer. Personally if you have done nothing wrong, conatct the press.

I was asked to do a William Hill survey last week and one question asked how much do you trust William Hill on a basis og 1 (low) to 7 (high). I was in a generous mood and marked it as a 2! But interesting, with stories on this thread in mind, that such a question should have been asked.
I used to think that bookmakers could be trusted and a few years back, I would have unhesitatingly given a rating of 7 to that question. |
