I noticed that Hills are now "trader referral" for winnings above £250 on clean online account bets. Swirly circle for about 30 secs to a minute whilst waiting for acceptance.

The company is now trying every trick in the book to avoid paying out or serving the shrewdies.

Regarding sleeper;

The manager has been told by his bosses not to inform customer of the sleeper. Thats exactly what he must do then. The manager has bills to pay and food to put on the table. Prob cannot afford to lose the job in this economic climate.

Even if they couldnt sack him, they surely would make life his life as difficult as possible.

My Experience with the lady crooks last year.

Placed 50 ew 4-1 shot
walked out of bookies.
walked in to chester
10 mins later felt a person grab my shoulder.
The lady crooks cashier had been running around chester trying to find me to tell me that the bet had been rejected by trader and I could only have 25ew max.
Had to then follow cashier back to the shop to straighten it out.

Felt like I had been caught shoplifting.

Regarding Sleeper

Old Boy probably knows all about the winning £6k bet. He's (foolishly)waiting to pick it up later for whatever reason. ie he may need it for something further down the line but does n't want to risk losing it back if he collects it now.

Just re-read the Sleeper post and seen it was a 49's draw bet. Now that is a bet I'm convinced the bookies will use the voiding too late tactic if one ever cops. I've occasionally done a 20p canadian using 5 of my Lottery numbers. Just as the countdown starts to getting your bet through the till leaves you with about 5 seconds to spare. I've often thought what a feckin waste of time that was because if all 5 happen to come up the knuts will only void the bet anyway. "Sorry.Taken after the Off"

He doesn't have to at all, if I was him I would tell the punter. They could make my life as much hell as possible, but at least I would go to sleep at night with a clear conscience knowing that the company I work for hasn't KNOWINGLY DEFRAUDED one of its customers.

Probably the filthiest each way race of the day. Lucky you didn't have the bet with Coral, not only would it been rejected , there would probably now be a warrant out for your arrest!
I bet whoever taught you to gamble is a great punter to have around.

When the media are corrupt, there's nothing these companies  now think they can't get away with, imo.

If the OP uses social media, I would put this up on there, mentioning @WilliamHill, and asking others to retweet.

They can't control social media, and this is the one area they would be worried about, imho...

Probably better looking at the shape of race and understanding the mechanics Briggsy before asking that question , such was mathematics and make up of the race he was effectively getting 4/1 for the win part when measuring risk v profit.

I remember about 7 years ago. Placed some dog bets with the said company.
When a dog won  they would cancel the bet saying they wrongly took the bet
as there was a problem of licensing with the track

I rang their Shop Customer services today pretending to be a " concerned part time employee " and asked about the policy of sleepers.I said we had a customer who places loads of Tricasts and must have forgot he had a winner for £1200. The lad agreed the customer should be informed but I should check with my area manager first. I told him my manager said dont inform customer and he was shocked to tell the truth. So it mustnt be known across the company so it must be a shop policy I suspect.

Hi Siobhan,

Thank you for your e-mail, and we apologise for the inconvenience caused.

We also apologise for the seemingly unsatisfactory handling of your concern. We regret that you feel the attempts made to answer your query may not have been to the level that you expected from us. We have taken note of your feedback as we would like to provide the best service to our customers at all times.

We believe the matter has been explained a couple of times.

The bet in question was accepted for WIN only market. Should the bet was accepted as Each Way, the bet still lost as the place terms offered is until 3rd place only. Hence, each-way:3@1/5

Your selection is Moonvoy which based on the official results, placed 4th.

It is still to your advantage that the bet was voided and stake is refunded.

Also, as confirmed by our Settling team, the bet was rejected by the Traders and not placed and the your were not charged for it as seen from your balance.

We hope this clarifies your concern.

Kind regards,

Grace

they seem to have gone from trying to explain 2+2 = 5 to 2+2 = 367.....

I assume "Grace" is a completely fictional character "employed" by Willie to rile their customers even more.

If "Grace" is actually a real person and presumably higher up the food chain than the previous persons who dealt with your complaint, it only goes to prove the old adage "everyone gets promoted to their level of incompetence".

Sounds like she got promoted from window cleaner. Probably because she was cleaning the wrong windows of the building next door to Willie's HQ.....

DEAR SIR.
I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO WITHDRAW MY MONEY FOR APROX 6 MONTHS  NOW.
All i ever get is my account is under investigation, well i think you have to agree its a long time for any investigation to take.
I would like to be able to withdraw my money,or at the very least have some indication how long this so called investigation will take.
Every one i speak to says they can not belive that a firm of william hills reputation, would act in this manner.MOST MURDER INVESTIGATIONS DO NOT TAKE AS LONG.
