Cara Gina won't be any value so at about 6 for a place I will take a chance with Comptonspirit. Brian Baugh has gone 105 days without a win but has turned out 17 seconds in that time and I fear this may be another. The mare always runs well this time of year and has become really well handicapped. Last won off 76 here, she is now off 65, add in the 5ib claim (a lad who rides well for this yard) and we have a decent place bet. 5 wins at tracks with uphill finishes, needs it good to firm so lots of ticks in the right boxes.

I'm backing the favourite but would prefer night trade to place over compton spirit. Compton spirit was 1/2 length front on same terms last year but the better recent form would sway it towards night trade, plus the trainer in better form too.
