What bet godsend ? He posted the selections of which 3 won and fair play to him on that but he has not posted any staking plan or any bet copy so while his selections were fantastic his suggestion of winning 150k is a little far fetched.

By fantasising and trying to look the bigshot he has stolen his own thunder imho.

So the guy puts up 3 winners and a 2nd at good prices, one outstanding. He puts it up before the first race starts. He doesn't wanna say how much he's due to win but people keep asking and he eventually reveals. He then gets accusations saying its rubbish! If he had said i've had 2 pound on them all and a 2 pound acca the same people berating him would be saying ' why not have more on if you were confident etc etc ' What a load of tosh!!! Some people will always look for faults and live life on the negative side! Well done alona, top tipping

Well done pal good to see people winning big cornelius.
Always remarkable when a 20-1 wins and a 9-2 shot stinks ya.

The people who are still getting all agitated about this guy's bets need to get a grip...

The guy posted a massive winning bet (even if the last horse only came second) and gets grief from people that don't believe him. The treble was 459/1 on Betfair. I know that because I did the same bet to a very small stake. (I'm a self confessed pound punter these days). Here's part of the slip which I clipped yesterday... I won a couple of grand in total at the end of the day.
[   This image is no longer available.   ]

The truth is that no matter how much he claimed to have on it, the likes of Carrot and Biscar etc would still find fault. WHO CARES WHAT HE HAD ON IT? HE'S POSTED A BIGGER WINNER THAN YOU LOT HAVE COMBINED!!!

As for publicity, what right do Betfair have to publish a person's identity without their permission? Think about it you clowns. Wouldn't matter if I won a hundred grand or a hundred million I wouldn't want the world knowing who I was.

Cheers Godsend... Just pees me off that people can still slag a bloke for posting up a perfectly valid bet that wins!

Just for clarity, I don't follow random tipsters on anonymous sites! I already fancied 3 of da souzas, including the first and the last, it's just that seeing Alona's post spurred me to whack the lot in to a number of multiples: £5 e/w 4-fold, £2 trebles, £1 doubles and each horse backed on the nose apart from the last one. I had about £2300 going on the Sunny Hollow at SP and I'm sure a few others did too. This is one of the reasons it's shortened IMHO, as it initially shortened on betfair before on course. (Not saying my 2k did it alone, but there would have been other punters in a similar boat and it wasn't exactly the biggest market to absorb the money.)

Purdey I posted earlier I have paid more in comm than he claims to have won hth.

The facts -

Thread "Silvestre de Sousa 4 timer today" - how much hard work and study did it take to come up with the 4 selections? Oh wait did he pick them out The Sun by looking at the jockeys ? A tactic common among many High Street punters.
btw a £1 on every SDS horse in the last 5 seasons loses you £115 on AW rides and £67 on Turf rides.

He posts 4 selections 3 winners no stake,no inclination to how he has permed them etc.

He has NOT posted any bets

The first three win and then he suggests he has won something around 150k or some other figure and the majority take his word as gospel. You read often about gullible people falling for scams and you wonder htf were they so naive, this thread suggests that there are many more who believe anything than I first thought.

All he had to do was post his bet like Godsend has done but his silence on that front is deafening.

He wont be the first to exaggerate his winnings on here and while there are forumites willing to massage ego's on a whim he wont be the last.

big payouts, plain to see for me. think people who are being diismissive are just jealousLaugh

Well done on the winnings. There would have been no argument had some evidence of the amount won been posted.

If I had claimed winning that amount and been challenged I would have done all I could to prove it.
By:
Purdey
When: 27 Jun 13 13:14
Biscar, who cares? Where's the evidence for the commission you've stumped up? Why is that even relevant to this discussion? While you're on it, show us some evidence or shut up about it...

He got pushed for a figure and whether he made it up or not, WHO F**KING CARES?

Also, who cares how he came up with the bet? He posted a MASSIVE WINNER that nobody else posted. From the limited things I've seen, he does post the odd bet here and there, as it's his right to - he's not some forum-hogging scavenger who posts every five minutes, so why feel the need to attack someone you don't know?

If that last horse had won instead of being second, I would have won a 5 figure amount. Not really life changing, but it would have been nice. I've posted evidence of my bet size, so it's not hard to conceive that someone spending even a modest amount more would be in to serious money even at betfair SPs.

This forum is all about discussing horse racing and the first post was a perfectly innocent one tipping up a few nice horses... WTF is wrong with that? Or what was said subsequently when the first three won???

Your attitude stinks of jealousy for having missed 3 winners and a second all at decent enough prices. For someone who claims to be a serious punter, you sure waste a lot of time responding to people on an anonymous forum. I know a few really big hitters and none of them spend anything like the amount of time you do on here....

Anyway, that's enough from me... I really do have better things to be doing.

purdey    you state you had  a  £5 e/w 4-fold, £2 trebles, £1 doubles and each horse backed on the nose apart from the last one. I had about £2300 going on the horse , for  your £24 you had £2300 going on given his stake was  £2300  he would/could  have had roughly had 55 or £1265000 going on at sp. with that kind of money on sunny hollow  it  would have started long odds on yet it took late money to force it into 7.12 from 9.4  the figures just dont add up. fair play to him for putting up his selections and i hope he won a right few quid but seeing as his winnings went from £187000 then down  to just over £150000 then to clearing/ walking away with just under £200000 i dont buy it if others do thats up to them

My point is that people shouldn't give a sh*t about other people's winnings... It makes no difference to you if he won £20 or £20m... He ain't gonna share it.
By:
Purdey

Plus, I should say the £2300 was only from the win part of the £5 4-fold.... Other money was on it as well, win and place.

I see the bitter ones have woken up in the same bitterness and jealousness that devours them as it did yesterday.

I have no intention at all to justify myself to a couple of bitter losers and I have actually said much more than I needed to say about my stake and bets.

Just to confirm, a total of £2,300 was staked of which only £860 was with BF.

Just to add, winning have all been collected during the course of the day from 3 high street bookies and the total profit is £217,863.56.

I must admit though that I admire the manager of one of these bookies when he happily handed me the biggest cheque collected of £113,850.00 for a winning £200 treble on Asatir @ 22/1, Pitchoun @ 7/4 and World Map @ 8/1 who then invited me for a pint and lunch on him as it was just after 12pm. Although after lunch he did, jokingly, say that he hopes he does not see me again!

I would also like to thank all on this thread who has wished me well without malice very unlike the bitter few who have displayed their bitterness over the last 2 days. Bitter ones like this never win and only have ill will for all others who achieve far more then they could ever dream of.

I do have a bet for for later but if I find the time to post it here is a different matter. If it will it will only grate the bitter ones more making their demise come sooner.

Thanks again to all the well wishers and the bitter ones can burn in their own bitter fury.
