hi all,

Not been a prolific poster during almost 10 years on here, but the time has now come for me to vacate thanks to this premium charge.
know it's probably been done to death since it was introduced, but to be fair, i haven't read to much into it, except to sympathise with those having to pay it.
so having now qualified for the charge, after having used up my £1000 allowance, i started to pay the charge at the end of march this year and following another good week, i will have accumulated over £700 of payments in that time, seven hundred....and i aint paying any more.
I have today withdrawn as much as allowed, with the rest following deduction of this weeks charge and will move over to purple, i dont bet everyday and there is enough liquidity now with the big meetings/football/golf to get by and only 3% commission.
I would happily pay a bit more commission, but not this much, its a p1ss take and in fact, for the last 3 months, i have actually not bothered wearing any trousers as i felt that i was always pulling them up from my ankles. i get fcuk all back on a losing week, then get robbed on a winning one.
and on that score.........IM OUT

Best of luck on future bets everyone.
TIN.

Why do people who pay premium charge stay with betfair?

Cant understand why you would willingly pay such charges unless it was in your interest to stay on betfair.

Sadly BF started to go downhill when they started to lose all the original management team. PC charge was the final straw and in some ways was the incentive for me to find another avenue. I hardly ever use BF now, bit sad but they ruined what was a great product when it started over 13yrs ago.

TINnotaTON    -

You should CUT & PASTE your statement  and RE-Post it on the 'Site Feedback' Forum

- and of course - email it to as many BETFAIR addresses as possible -

starting with - info@betfair.com

Although - in the interests of (their) job protection, the Helpdesk, will probably 'file it under forget' ... instead of passing it on up the food-chain - which, of course, is what they really SHOULD DO.

Greyhound Derby semi final purple 8k and Betfair 63k

cheers onlooker, but although good at gambling im totally clueless when it comes to cutting and pasting Laugh
and as for the info@betfair.com i wouldnt waste my time , as no **** would answer.
when i qualified to pay this charge, it states that i would be informed by e-mail, BUT I NEVER WAS and they just started taking the charge out. they stated that they had informed me, but they never did. never got any e-mail and dont care what they say.

I was betting 30-40k a week on Betfair and backing only using my own judgement....I went as soon as PC arrived and use only Purple and prefer it now. I get matched in running and its getting better by the day.

Indeed mt, penalising people for winning is such stupid idea.

I would like to know how much they gain from this, and what difference it would be if commission was set at 6%.......

Cf Kane ,
I don't think it's feasible to play for any stakes(depending on your strategy maybe,if you're taking a once off position and not using an offset)more gaps in it than than the tahitian defense.

They prob used the premium charge to launch fixed odds betting. :-(

A great company teetering on the verge of a disaster.

I'd be surprised if there are any small punters left on here with the £5 minimum bet to watch a race.
