I dont watch the news or any other sh1t about politics . I happened to have a chat with scargy in his local boozer , when i was working in barnsley a few years back and he was a top fella - he reckoned Thatcher was the anti christ . |

mind you the £10 million of public money wasted on her funeral
was nothing compared to the £9 billion we wasted on the Olympics last year all that money, just so the nation could feel good for 2 weeks...what good was that still I suppose it was difficult to get out of, once we bid for it We should just bid for football WC..we could use existing stadiums... and football is better to watch than the crap sports we have to watch at the Olympics.. The IMF today again warned we are going too fast on austerity..we are defeating the object It seems our government are more concerned that the less well off in our society 'may be getting away with it' than in actually improving our economic situation exactly what Thatcher did, she went too fast, was too brutal and people suffered, and looking at our society today , did she bring any long term benefit, my answer would be NO... |

The 9 billion spent on the Olympics has been earned by tourism.
The alleged 10 million spent on Thatchers funeral will also return on the same tourism route. Britain do pomp and ceremony better than anyone else and although the lefties hate it the ordinary people( flag waving fools as Facts calls them) love it. |

Don,t ever know how/why you haven,t been given a job promoting GB wildman,of course we do these ceremonial parties better than anyone else why? because we have the most experience of "marching up to the top of the hill and marching down again",and what is your obssession with "the lefties" as opposed to "the righties",I,ll tell you what it is wildman it,s a room of smoking mirrors it is a distraction from the mess we are in as a country,you do not see any of this from the Scandanavians/Germans no way they are just getting on with the job of seeing that their respective countries are in good nick for ALL of their people,yes GB has contributed a helluva lot to the world but there has also been a huge downside,for a nation that for 200yrs or so made collosal amounts of money from their "commonwealth" we don,t now have a lot to show for it,this country is/has been for the elite/establishment for a 1000yrs or so,our investment in manufacturing/infrastructure is the lowest of the developed nations our top academically gifted go into the law/city/government as opposed to going into the wealth creating manufacturing industries,that is a big part of why we are trailing.

Barney has a different view but there is a lot of merit in his last post,the decline in British manufacturing is a disaster for Britain and something Mrs Thatcher was guilty of,the country that invented the railways,the jet engine and dominated motor racing for decades now produces little of those things she led the world in producing. The magnificent feats of engineering you see all over Britain are testament to the worth of previous generations,this is now sneered at looked down on by the like of Facts and Captain Christy,the liberal elite have taught the young to be ashamed of their past as a way of breaking down nationalist feeling thus preparing the way fot the unelected European burocrats to take over. An outsider looking in can see and not be afraid to comment on the terrible things happening to your country,it is only now a matter of time before London is under Sharia Law. |

if that is the case, fine..but most businesses reported less business at the time of Olympics I agree with Barney21 Tbh I would not know if what our government is for the best or not, but I would like to see more honesty less spin...why are they ignoring the IMF..I assume those guys know what they are talking about Let us try and fix this country...and you dont do that in 1 day or two weeks |
