Bruce's daughter is an international equestrian competitor and just missed out on the Olympics last year.

He's also very friendly with an Irish trainer, but for the life of me, I can't remember the guys name!

Just found this:

'Glad you flagged that up, an enjoyable half hour, don’t seem to listen to the raidio these days. The Pete in question was a late night (controversial / mad) radio DJ, Peter “The Major” Harris on Cardiff’s first commercial radio station in the 80′s, he used to play lots of Bruce & Southside, he was also a local bookmaker & had a shop “Peter Harris Racing” two streets from where I live just outside cardiff, he currently gives daily racing tips on BBC Radio Wales…. Nice story a couple of Welsh lads hanging out with Bruce, I had to wait another six years before I saw him but I never got that close'

Enda Bolger had a horse called Fiftysevenchannels and is a huge Springsteen fan and attends all his concerts, think that is where Springsteen sent his daughter for riding experience.
Report ThunderRoad April 13, 2013 11:17 AM BST
That's who it is WildMan.

After the Paul McCartney fiasco, Bruce responded by taking the piss out of the whole thing at his next show (Dublin). He kicked off with the Twist and Shout he never got to finish (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWKHAjBrH-w) and at the end of the show he got some 'London officials' to come onstage and pretend to throw them off - Enda Bolger was one of the 'officials' (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uDL-0huhyjc)

Played the Born to Run record till it wore out during my college days (30 odd years ago)
Became a big fan. Finally saw him years back (20?) at some London venue. I've been to a lot of concerts but its the only time I can remember when I literally felt the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. It was his last tour with the E Street band before he broke them up. Did 'If I fall behind' for the encore. Best concert of my life and doubt I will ever experience the like again. One of the true songwtiting/performing greats and comes across as a nice sort of bloke you'd like to have a beer with.
