I was the guy he offered to meet (behind the stands or in the car park I cannot remember which) after I pointed out some simple facts about his punting pedigree. I think I also stated that IMO he we was like all other media folk trying to climb the ladder ie- avoid talking about punter related issues that would damage his career but no doubt help the punter. To be fair I think he regretted the threat and saw it as a rather stupid outburst. I offered to meet him by the way to talk about some of the points I was making, not for a punch up !. He declined to answer, realising I think by then that threats of violence had weakend his psotion of argument.

Does not surprise me at all Olias. I remember when he started his tipping service BetMaverick, which Nick Luck mocked on RUK 'had an award winning website' http://www.betmaverick.com/index.php?page=home. Whatever happened to the tipping service?
The fella could not tip himself out of bed. Just look at Sat on the boring line. He tips Sprinter Sacre after saying on the programme that 1-5 did not interest him and he wanted at least 2-5 or 4-9. Then he tipped Grand Crus (so still a level stake loss).
Tell you what GC, any time you want to go heads up with me in a tipping comp for a grand just get in touch on here, and I REALLY mean that!

To be honest I am pleased they have employed a failed tipping line provider, you really do not want a well informed puner spouting on about successful betting methods on the TV. If on the other hand he ploughed a furrow whereby he got behind many of the concerns of the common punter which incidently should be the concerns of the racing authorities as well, then I would be the first speak up for GC. Somehow I think this is unlikely. You will also notice that in the past he has come on here and given his twopennyworth, something I admire him for. Now however his silence is deafening. He has secured the prime time TV position and he is not going to jeopardise that with comments on here.

How was Sanctuaire going to beat Sprinter Sacre? I mean, really....who would have had a win bet against Sprinter Sacre? As for Grands Crus....

He tipped Sanctuaire! Thats even worse. Now I know why people call that programme 'The Put Away line'. Christ, I hope he gets it right come Champion Chase day

I like GC personally but he did himself no favours on Saturday tipping Sanctuaire.

By all means look for an EW option, but as someone has already pointed out, its easy after the race.

exactly. all of us on here live or die by what we back or lay. fellas like GC are weighed in for just tipping a horse regardless of their levelstake tally come the ed of the year (i have no doubt someone is toting up GC's charity bets score as we speak)
